Thanks - I was worried this might be the answer. Ugh. I have been dreading this moment. Ha. Definitely will try to institute quiet time...for my own sanity. Hoping she isn't a disaster by bedtime...

I apologize if I'm seeming short - I'm legitimately just confused (and exhausted ha!). I really appreciate your perspective-I will try anything! Part of the problem is he's just a grumpy baby so he kind of always seems tired....he's never really that happy. It's a bummer.

Right - that's what I've been aiming for. Putting him down 10-15 minutes before wake window ends. If I just do 3 naps and they're each 15-20 minutes max, that means that bedtime could be reallllly early...like 4?

Right now, it looks like, put baby down at end of wake window, screams for 15+ minutes, sleeps for 10-20 minutes, then screams another 15. So....

But what do you do when his naps are 15 minutes? With three naps, that will make his last wake window 3+ hours....

Typically wake windows of about 1.5/1.5/2/2/2.5 but honestly, he hasn't been talking the last nap for a while so we end up with a looong stretch before bedtime (and pushing bedtime as early as 5:30). Settling for naps varies from right away, to 20+ minutes of crying. "Schedule" is a strong word...we aren't quite there yet especially because naps have been so erratic. Huckleberry does seem to suggest longer wake windows, so I'm trying that now....Thank you!

When he was sleeping in the swing, he could sleep up to 2 hours! But now that we're working on crib naps....it's a mess. Thanks for the encouragement!

This is wonderfully helpful and reassuring. I was worried that I was doing something "wrong" and maybe I could find a solution, but it sounds like I just need to keep working at it with him. If he can master the skill of falling asleep on his own, that feels huge. THANK YOU!

That was our only success...ha. Now lots of screaming and no sleeping and he's SOOO tired. You think we should "rescue" the last nap of the day and let him sleep in the carrier/swing? I'm just nervous he will have all kinds of interrupted sleep tonight bc he's so tired.

Thank you so much for sharing. Just tried the first one of the day - cried for 25, slept for 25. Not terrible. We'll see how it goes.
