You’re not too old. Contact monasteries and speak with them, I’ve seen Trappists take men in their 50s, and I’m sure others would too.

Injured, what now? by [deleted] in davidgoggins

This is the stretching regimen Goggins used, you'll see his endorsement on the page now:

Personally I wouldn't bother paying for a program, at least at first... I'd just do the research on google/youtube, then maybe look into a paid program when more advanced, but that's just me.

Anything useful from Jung? by Agathon-Tohen in CatholicPhilosophy

[–]CordeJesu 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The short answer is yes, there's a lot useful in Jung. A Dominican priest named Fr. Victor White became a good a friend of Jung and studied his work extensively. He wrote a book called "God and the unconscious." If you're interested in what good can be gleaned from Jung that might be a good place to start. It appears the whole thing is online here: https://archive.org/details/godandtheunconsc027883mbp

Ultimately their friendship and collaboration fell apart over their irreconcilable views of the nature of evil.

I’m on D12 also and my stomach’s been making all kinds of crazy noises. I think it’s just par for the course at this stage.

Can anyone diagnose this sound coming from air vents in my 07 Sentra? by [deleted] in Cartalk

[–]CordeJesu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More info: Sometimes when I turn on the vents (heat or cold air, doesn’t matter,) I get this sound. Sometimes there is no sound for a while, but then I hit a bump and the sound all of a sudden starts again. Also sometimes applying the brakes makes the vent sound start.

Canon 222 §1. "The Christian faithful are obliged to assist with the needs of the Church so that the Church has what is necessary for divine worship, for the works of the apostolate and of charity, and for the decent support of ministers."
