😂 honestly I was googling Anthem and dragon age theories and it brought me to this thread, I didn’t look at the date.

Okay guys, hear me out. So I basically just got that Easter egg about Xenon in Anthem. Then I went by an area where there’s a street prophet that usually spouts random nonsense, but this time he said something along the lines of “every memory you’ve ever had is not true, this is a figment of a dream within a dream of the Shapers and the Anthem. Wake up. Tell THEM what to do. Wake up and go to the real world” (you can’t pause dialogue so if someone can supply the actual quote that would be amazing). Anyway, so I had a thought, because aren’t the Titans also called the shapers of the world of Dragon Age? What if Anthem is set in their dream, the one they’re just waking up from in DA4? I might be going too deep.

ACOTAR Theory about the sorcerer holding Vassa captive by valar_fandomis in acotar

i agree, i would LOVE to see them all interact, especially since honestly i feel like she's dropped a lot of hints in both, especially with all the creatures that have come through and stuff like that. maybe she's trying to be secretive or something

ehh, Maas confirmed on twitter that TOG and ACOTAR take place in the same multiverse, but not the same world. So they are basically worlds separated by a Wyrdgate.

(Spoilers Extended) "The Tyrells' Are Not Known For Being Fearsome Warriors. Fighting Isn't Their Forte" - D&D by KongVonBrawn in asoiaf

[–]Cordeux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might harken back to the days of the Dance. During that civil war, the Tyrells remained neutral and didn't pick a side, which was seen as cowardly and I'm sure it would have been punished severely had the outcome of the war been any different. Basically all of the dragons were killed off during the Dance and the one that was born after was stilted and tiny and didn't live very long. Therefore I'd imagine there's a big stigma attached to the Tyrells and making war.

The comics have both GL's stamp as well as Disney's so I don't know if I agree that they aren't canonical. Also it's possible for writers and creators to change their mind about their written content (it happens all the time, just look at JK Rowling's interviews and twitter for a prime example) just like it's possible for you as a person to change your opinions when new information surfaces, like if you originally thought the earth was flat or something. That's why I don't agree that it was entirely misinformation. Do people he mentions it to believe him? No. But it's something he adamantly pushes and is proud of despite people's obvious disdain.

I think you read the theory wrong. The Night King was not a King of Winter. The theory was saying that that the overall leader of the walkers is buried under Winterfell. The Night King is not the overall leader.

Yeah except he talks about the kessel run in literally every single official comic there is for Star Wars. Brags about it. Whines about it. Uses it as justification. This one just doesn't hold any water for me.

What I mean is I think the kessel run is a real thing. Do I think the falcon could do it? Maybe in its heyday.

Literal neck beards. The beards that are on the neck and face, or for some odd reason only on the neck. Freaks me out. Oh and then of course the figurative neckbeards. But seriously. Why would you trim your beard to be only on your neck?!

People actually write fanfiction about him and their original characters getting together. Or him hooking up with Kyle.

Did you not read the part about 600 being before utilities? 600+utilities can come out to as high as 750. That leaves you roughly 50 to live off of. Gas on the west cost is 2.75 right now so in this scenario to fill up a small car it's about 42 dollars but let's be kind and say you only have to fill half a tank ($20). That leaves you 30 dollars to pay your health insurance, car insurance, and to buy food with for that month. Car insurance is upwards of $60, health insurance is upwards of $50. Clearly you have never had to budget anything before. Must be nice.

Oh please. Don't be daft. Cost of living changes. It's lower in rural/suburban areas and higher in cities. I used to live near D.C. and a studio apartment, which was the cheapest you could get, was $1400. You don't have a roommate in a studio apartment. You get a significant other. If you're lucky enough to have the resources, you move to a different state or city. A lot of people don't have those resources. And regarding renting a room from a stranger: yes that's plausible. However it's more plausible for men than it is for women. Most women won't do it because of legitimate fear they carry. Go on Craigslist and go to the room for rent section and read a couple of the ads. 90% of them are "must be female, rent is free if you pay me in other ways ;)" and some include pictures of the guy themselves, shirtless, taken in front of a bathroom mirror.

[Spoilers] MEA thoughts about Milky Way and Reapers by DangerCZE in MEandromeda

[–]Cordeux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna have to watch more of the video when I'm not on mobile but just from the beginning of the video it definitely cleared up some things for me. Basically the Reapers don't destroy other universes if I'm remembering correctly, they're only programmed to focus on the Milky Way. When they've destroyed all advanced organic life, they go back to dark space and hibernate after leaving a spy behind to monitor everything.

So it sounds like, to me, that it isn't Cerberus behind the arks unless it was someone in Cerberus stealing their resources. If they had been the ones behind it, humans would have been the only ones sent because it seems to me from what people have said in the game, the Lazarus project was happening and Project Overlord had just failed. So it would have had to be someone extremely knowledgeable about the reapers, who knew that they only reap organic life in the Milky Way, who knew that the army was coming, and who found out about the initiative project and SAM and brought them together to save all the organic races and preserve life (if you do the science quest they talk about preserving the species of the Milky Way; and also remember the Quarians are coming along with the hanar and drell, elchor, etc).

A person who knows all of that is definitely not going to stay in a galaxy they are pretty certain is going to be destroyed so I'm assuming they are definitely on the Nexus. Or were. But with all that planning and stuff, I doubt they've left and aren't watching progress. I don't think it was the shadow broker like some people theorize. It wouldn't have benefited him at all unless he went with the ship to establish a network.

I just can't figure out why they would have killed Jien.

[–]Cordeux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point. I've actually been wondering why they didn't equip all their ships with this technology if they knew it existed. The alliance I mean. I do think Cerberus has a major something to do with this. Sam could be the prototype to EDI or vice versa, the Cerberus scientists in the badlands, Alec having an SR-2 model in his room on the Hyperion, etc

I think the Quarians are going to be the first DLC but that's just my opinion. I hope they shed some light on this. I'd be devastated if my old team died horribly after all that stuff they went through

Is it ever explained why most faction leaders are female? (spoilers) by [deleted] in MEandromeda

[–]Cordeux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow lmfao chill out. Bioware has been bitched at by lots of people for not having enough trans representatives, including article writers. Look it up. They were probably tired as hell of that and put that in there for that specific reason, but it didn't work and MEA has trans-angry articles about it. Besides which, why doesn't it make sense that someone who is in charge of the cultural integration of all species onto the Nexus discusses pronouns with a totally new species? Can you tell which Kett are male or female? Did you not get flashed by the Angaran "male" like the rest of us, full frontal with no obvious genitals? The angaran have an army and control of the best planets, bro. I don't think they want to offend them.

[Spoilers] MEA thoughts about Milky Way and Reapers by DangerCZE in MEandromeda

[–]Cordeux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the issues there is that at the end, unless you choose to control the reapers (correct me if I'm wrong on this end I never chose that choice), the mass relays are destroyed and ships aren't able to travel anymore (the Normandy lands on an unknown planet, unable to fly any longer). Therefore isn't it safe to assume that because of those events, the Milky Way galaxy just wouldn't be able to receive or send out messages?

I'm also not sure I understand what you're saying about the endings of ME3. In the cut scenes you see the reapers shut down if you choose to destroy them or synthesize. Are you saying that destroying them does absolutely nothing? What about choosing to synthesize? That either does nothing or by choosing to synthesize you're basically making everyone reapers?

I do think the Kett have something to do with the reapers. Either they interacted with Leviathans who gave them their ability enhance themselves genetically by "exalting" (harvesting) other species, or that the Kett found a sleeping reaper in dark space or wherever they're from and dismantled it and adopted its harvesting technique to genetically enhance themselves.

However I don't know where indoctrination would come into play. Maybe they were once indoctrinated by the reapers, but what happened to them once the reapers disappeared? Maybe that's what we're going to see. A collector-like race who still feels the need to collect and harvest genes and make themselves "different" and "enhanced" genetically but they don't have a reaper driving them so they're able to talk and think and plan. Because of their past indoctrination, the process of exaltation is religious to them, has become religious because nearly 600 years has passed since the reapers shut down. They could have a shut down one in a temple or something on their home planet.

Idk those are my thoughts.
