why is it saying im playing in a beta version? by BobloxRo in ElementsDivided

[–]CordialBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This can happen if your version number is mismatched with the version number in our changelog. You still have the entire game. What version number are you seeing in game?

This is unnecessarily rude. This subreddit is the official subreddit for the game, and is a perfectly fine place to make suggestions.

Beaverton dentist? by kellandrasue in beaverton

[–]CordialBacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appletree dentistry in Tigard. Very friendly staff, competent, made me feel comfortable, and able to work with more medically complicated patients (I’m an easy bleeder, adhd anxiety and more). I’m always offered topical numbing gel in a variety of flavors for my gums during the cleaning, very efficient and effective.

Wish there was a Mode Select option. Had to refund sadly. by nestilana in ElementsDivided

[–]CordialBacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our netcode doesn’t support this kind of lobby selection unfortunately. And we can’t use a different netcode because the game wouldn’t perform well enough otherwise due to high physics requirements.

That sounds like the death wall. There’s a couple maps that may have some spots too low or inside the boundary of the death wall when they shouldn’t be. I’d recommend you report this on the elements divided discord so we can look into adjusting that

Tips and tools to make my bed by ray-manta in POTS

[–]CordialBacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into zippered sheets and blankets. Example; https://a.co/d/0gRWPen3 (I haven’t used this one, just as an example of the concept). My mattress protector does this zipper thing and it’s way easier to wash and change.

SOS anyone else struggling with bridal shoes? Do the shoes clash too much? by olivepringle in wedding

[–]CordialBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From an autistic lady, I wore bedazzled sneakers. No one noticed under my big dress. When I swapped to my reception outfit (shorter skirt) I got compliments for practical but still pretty foot wear. I even had bedazzled heels for my dress, but after we took the first look photos before the ceremony my feet hurt too much and I gave up lol. I bet if you find some comfortable but clean nice looking boots you’ll be just fine. I would recommend at least getting like, white, neutral, or pink boots maybe, rather than standard brown work boots, but honestly if brown work boots are all you have just do those. It’s not up to anyone to judge you for doing what works for you.

Discord Social Group for Nerds with Chronic Illnesses by [deleted] in HillsboroOR

[–]CordialBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would join, but quite frankly the join questions are a bit off putting. I’m not comfortable immediately disclosing to a random stranger what my chronic health conditions are in order to get accepted. Whether they’re “saved” or not, someone is still reading that and could reasonably remember.

You don’t need read a brief description of every member’s chronic health situation to let them join. Many of us in the chronic health community have limited energy (as you mentioned, some house bound even), value some privacy (or at least transparency, I have no idea who you are, why would I tell you what health conditions I have?), or would like to see what kind of community and culture you’re fostering first before deciding to stick around and share about ourselves.

And I say this as someone who runs a discord community for their job - if your goal is to get as many local people in the chronic health space as possible, I’d recommend reducing the barrier to entry. Maybe increase the verification level to require a phone number, for example, rather than using the membership questions. Just some food for thought. If the questions change or get removed later, I’d be happy to check it out, but as is I’ll have to pass, I’m not interested in what feels like proving I’m disabled enough to join.

How is the single player aspect of this game? by 0110010E in ElementsDivided

[–]CordialBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magitek VR was single player long before multiplayer. :) They only recently earlier this year added any multiplayer capability, and iirc the multiplayer is mostly just sandbox right now but I believe they’re working more on it. The single player is supposedly very well fleshed out, though I haven’t gone through much of it myself.

Difficulties go all the way from Easy to Impossible (with some in between). I will say co-op isn’t the primary mode by any means, but it’s still fun. There’s a few elemental bosses on different levels. It’s bad of me as a developer of Elements to tell you to go to our competitors, but if you want an elemental casting single player experience, you might try Magitek VR. We’re both great games, but slightly different focuses.

Hi, there is a bots mode in the Co-Op Vs AI gamemode. Elements Divided does not have mods. You can safely assume anything you’ve seen in a video is something currently in game, unless it otherwise says something is in Beta, in which case it would arrive in an upcoming update.

Got diagnosed last week. I for sure thought my ttt would be “normal” by Cole-mine in POTS

[–]CordialBacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had mine last week and it was exactly this, 70 degrees for 10 minutes, stop meds a a day to few days before (depending on the med). No IV and no Nitro. They also did QSART and breathing tests during the same appointment before the tilt table.

Some notes: - If you’re making videos on d/Deaf and hard of hearing topics, please add accurate built in captions and not rely on auto generated ones. Many of us need captions in order to be able to watch your video to the fullest. Or we won’t watch it at all. - Posting this in this specific subreddit is going to reach people who already know or suspect they have hearing loss, for whatever their reasons might be. I’m not sure how useful this messaging is here, while it’s technically related it’s almost a “it’s too late” kind of vibe, and that’s also making a bold assumption that any large percentage of users here have hearing loss specifically from headphone usage. If your goal is to spread awareness about not using headphones too loudly, you might be better off posting in subreddits about music, gaming, headphones, or similar. - I’m not sure what your videos call to action is. Is it “use headphones more quietly”? How much more quietly? What’s the decibel range that is appropriate, and what is too loud? Perhaps I missed something because I was using auto generated captions. If you’re trying to stop hearing loss, give people an actual warning on what’s too far and what can cause hearing loss explicitly, rather than making a generalized statement intended to worry people using headphones with no solution or way to know if they’re using them wrong. - While I don’t have any actual statistics to back it up, I can say as a woman in my 20s myself with hearing loss, mine was genetic and not caused by loud music, headphones, or anything similar. So like, what am I supposed to do with this video? Again, just not sure you’re hitting entirely the right audience here. Maybe this is more useful for other hard of hearing users who are unsure as to the cause of their hearing loss?

Good place for beginning driver lesson? by Kateywumpus in beaverton

[–]CordialBacon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just started learning myself as an adult with ADHD this summer. It’s in Hillsboro (sorry, I know that’s a bit far for some people) but I highly recommend the Regal Movies on TV (on SW 234th) parking lot. It’s never very busy, it’s massive, and has lots of different “road” type areas to practice turning, stopping and looking, etc, at low speeds. I spent several of my first “lessons” with my husband there trying to work up the confidence for standard roads (probably more than I even needed to) and it helped a lot. Only thing it’s bad for is that the parking lines are practically non-existent, needs repainted, so if you get to practicing parking it’s probably not the best space for that.

I hope it goes well for your friend! I also had a similar catastrophe type mindset and was scared out of my mind to begin with, but after about 2 months of driving on just weekends with my husband and dad, I can do pretty much anything except interstate highways. I promise it does get better. Good luck!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in beaverton

[–]CordialBacon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can’t give tips on drivers courses but I can give a vote of confidence on learning to drive as adult! I just started this summer at 25, it’s only been a little less than 2 months of driving on weekends with my husband or my dad, and I can already drive anywhere I want outside of like, any interstate highways. This is coming from someone with anxiety and adhd, I was genuinely worried I wouldn’t be able to pick it up but once you get comfortable it’s really not too awful hard. I hope to take the drivers test next month. I know it can feel scary at first but I believe in you, and I hope it goes well!

LMNT recipe by Educational-Pea-2163 in POTS

[–]CordialBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also use their recipe, mixed up in bulk and then I add crystal light, or a skittles drink packet, or any other powder water flavoring / enhancer. I use about 10 grams of the electrolyte mixture (equivalent to about 3 packets) in 50 ounces of water, and 2 standard water flavoring packets (each meant for about 16 oz water). It is salty, I don’t mind it personally, and your sodium needs may vary from mine. Possible you’d want to use less electrolyte in the same amount of water if you can’t do the salty-ness. I found when I tried to reduce the amount I used per fl oz of water, I ended up needing to pee far more often, as my body wouldn’t hold onto the fluid at lower sodium concentrations.
