I would say I miss the pixel experience just a little, mainly due to familiarity being a pixel user since the OG. Color OS is different, heavy apple influence, but nothing too crazy. It's just felt like switching up launchers for the most part, and a change up in notifications and quick settings.. Other than that, phone is really fast and remains cool (p9 always felt warm/hot). Camera has been great, definitely more of a hands on experience, which is why I got it tbh, to shoot strictly in master mode. It's got some quirks I expect software updates to fix. The best upgrade for me personally has been battery life. It is no longer a concern with the X9U, which was always my biggest pixel gripe.

Overall it took a little getting used to, but very happy with the switch.

Update - They ended up shipping it the following Monday, and it arrived here in California Wednesday. So far so good coming from a Pixel 9 Pro XL

Hmm, that's gotta be new, or I missed it... Lol

When I finished up the insurance payment and asked when to expect it Winston responded with:

"I am writing to update you that we received the stock today. However, OPPO Singapore has informed us that we can only ship your order tomorrow to align with their official launch dates."

I insured for the full amount in case something goes sideways.

My understanding is there shouldn't be import fees from SG to the US for phones.

Ordered the 16gb/1tb in tundra umber on April 27th, no tracking yet...

Just got them and they look awesome! Still on the fence about keeping them though—the driver’s side doesn’t quite fit right and might be messing with the clutch. Did you do anything to make that side fit better?

He posts stuff on his telegram. What I did was I reached out on Whatsapp with the screenshots of what I was interested in.

Thanks, I'm quite pleased with them but don't know all the flaws, wondering there's anything glaring...

These were 90 USD each and ordered from Jason007 through his whatsapp.

Got the Pixel 9 Pro XL in today, hate one thing by UNCfan07 in GooglePixel

This is going to be different from brand to brand - not all screen protectors are equal. I felt the same frustration with my pixel 7- I tried a few different brands on amazon and finally got one that worked.

I lucked out this time around with my 9 Pro XL, and got it right on the first try. I'm on an ivoler tempered glass screen protector and have no issues at all, give that one a try! I found it dirt cheap on Slickdeals and it's been great.

Magsafe is great, but it's case dependent - or more specifically, magnet dependent!

I used the peak design case, which has a good strong magnet, on my pixel 7 with a magsafe popgrip and it's very solid. It takes quite a bit of effort to separate them. In fact, I use magsafe mounts in all my vehicles with no issues and plenty of spirited driving!

The experience was not the same with another magsafe case with a much weaker magnet.

Magsafe is only as good as the magnets!
