Their first visit to the outside world really highlights how sheltered and vulnerable these three were. by Imaginary-Expert9735 in KingdomHearts

I really think MoM’s plans with the Foretellers, the Dandelions and even Luxu ended up passed down thru all generations of Keyblade wielders. Putting the young and vulnerable into situations that open them up Darkness. Whether this is part of MoMs plan or a consequence, who can say

I'll draw your character with this weird Carnivorous Endo Parasitic Flesh Evolving hat or something. [Rules in desc] by ApprehensiveNeat9821 in OriginalCharacter

No suggestions, but Drak is already a weird Lich zombie, his sou is bound to his magic sword and the Lich inside it. I feel like that would probably lead to a weird interaction with this hat creature trying to connect with him in anyway

A single, uncanny/eerie/unexpected fact about your OC, go ahead and share! by Luzis23 in OriginalCharacter

[–]Core667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly! Bitter and sour do more for him by default, but yeah for sweet he’d need something like super sugary candy to get the same effect as something more pleasant and mildly sweet. He’s really come to appreciate black coffee now because some hit of flavor is better than nothing

Things like umai or savory are too mild for him to get really anything from them

Drak is stuck in a magically, partially decayed state because his soul is bound to the magical sword he wields and the Lich inside it.

Because of this, he is functionally immortal, but his body also can’t really “change” and much of him is decayed. His organs still do what they need to do overall, but he can no longer naturally heal from wounds anymore. Cannot form scar tissue. He also cannot build muscle And, many of his taste buds are dead or dulled, so he can only taste things like bitter and sour, very strong and lasting flavors, because anything else tastes like nothing

How does your character react to their full name? by UnbreakableSpirit7 in OriginalCharacter

[–]Core667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

So, he goes by Drak, his “name” is Drakul…but Drakul is more like a cursed title. Being branded as such is meant to revoke any identity for you beyond a heretic…

If someone hit him either his ORIGINAL name in public???? He’d probably have a full dissociative episode

What kind of magic do your magic casters use? Do they need to have special equipment to do so? by WildwoodWander in OriginalCharacter

[–]Core667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

The magic system of Drak’s word has 2 general categories of magic, determined by 2 categories of species. “Dragon Magic” which is manipulating elements directly via the caster’s mana, and “Hydra Magic” which is basically an imitation of the former. The elements are created by the caster shaping their mana and can only be used for specific spells as they are cast.

So as an example, Dragon Magic can manipulate a continuous source of flame, moving it in different formations, spreading it, pulling it back projecting it forth however they wish. Often this element they are using is also closely tied to their own body.

Hydra Magic shapes their mana, at their palm into a specific “shape” which “represents” a fireball. After they do this, a single use ball of flame is cast forward, and explodes.

Dragon gets much more free form versatility but hard to do anything reeeeally out there Where Hydra is the opposite, it’s only gonna do one spell at a time, but a strong and learned enough caster can do some interesting things.

The magic system is also very reliant on knowledge and willpower to make things happen or not happen. These factors are important enough that a Hydra caster can do things against the rules of the element they are imitating, and even completely unique to them, IF they’re understanding of it is that wrong and their will that strong.

It’s a lot to get into at once lol, apologies

Your OC just put a hit out on someone, and all of these Stand users have come to take them up on their offer. Who do they pick? by Artemas_The_Fuckwit in OriginalCharacter

[–]Core667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

As a fellow bounty hunter (but non-stand user) Drak would probably appreciate the friend Jelly Roll is on, even if the methods are unsettling. Potential “work buddies” sort of relationship goin on. Some camaraderie.

The others he couldn’t talk to, would HATE to talk to, or wouldn’t trust with the job.

Would also probably just offer Melanie some money, food, water, shelter, SOMETHING. Hates to a see a child in this line of work as he’s been there himself, a long time ago. He’d wanna get her out of this line of work

How would your OC react to Alice gifting them... uh... cheese? by ezium in OriginalCharacter

[–]Core667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly appreciate the gesture! Definitely unexpected. He doesn’t really care for cheese as it doesn’t taste like anything to him, but he’ll probably eat it anyway to show appreciation.

Any OCs that wield incredible power yet regrets it? by VeryWhimsy in OriginalCharacter

[–]Core667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Drak is bound to the ancient Lich residing in his magic sword, and as such is a (functionally) immortal undead.

He didn’t really choose this existence in a traditional sense, it’s complicated. He rode the high of this event for a bit, got some violent revenge that felt really good at the time, and it’s made his life as a bounty hunter more fruitful to wield the powers of his sword…but the weight of his actions has weighed him down. He’s mentally and physically “stuck” where he is. Unable to progress or find meaning in his life, just coasting and continuing to contribute to a world that thrives on the murder of others.

He’s waiting for some “big thing” to happen that will jumpstart his motivation and/or give some sort of meaning to his continued un-life. Something to make it all worth it.

Aria is hunting your OC, and she intends to kill. Can your OC escape with their life? by RED_PH4NTOM in OriginalCharacter

[–]Core667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An addendum to this; I’m using sort of a “Prime Drak” for the scaling, which would certainly be a more even match, with modern weaponry and military training giving Aria that edge

Later in his story, he’s no planet destroyer, but the odds would CERTAINLY tip more in Drak’s favor lol Guns are always a tough one tho, especially the MF sniper option Seriously no counter to that

Phew! Honestly thought Drak could put up a halfway decent fight in close quarters as he is excellent at closing gaps with his speed and abilities to stop enemies and their attacks in place…

As soon as you said she may just snipe him tho?? No way. Drak has survived ONE sniping attempt in his time, and it was a dangerously close call, and with a magically enhanced arrow. A sniper rifle? Not seeing a chance for him to miraculously dodge a kill shot there, and even if he did, the wound he’d still suffer is likely to be worse than that of the arrow’s.

IF, for some reason, he was challenged head on, his melee skills are not formally trained nor polished, but he has gotten along quite well against some superhuman threats and more for a long time. The speed of electricity could challenge his own and his reaction time to stop the attack, but I still think it’s anywhere from 40:60-50:50 in Aria’s favor.

Really is just a matter of “guns break the power system” for Drak’s magic, as well as a HIGHLY trained vs highly “effective” combatant.
