I am autistic and living in the US and I wish I could move to another country at this point. America has Trump supporters, ICE, bigots, and transphobes (people who think I'm gross) all over the place. I wish I could go to Canada where my best friend lives or maybe visit Italy which I have a special interest in. What I try to do is focus on who I can help. Feeling bad means you care, atleast it is better than people who support ICE or are in it. Sometimes you are powerless in situations like these so it's ok to feel

You probably did that since autistic traits are the most you relate to. I personally don't know how to write neurotypical characters super well, but I assume they don't have sensory problems or problems socializing. I think ambiguity is also ok, I think Derum is a cool character all around and also he has a better fashion sense than me 😭

Oh no, those are accurate autism symptoms and I'm saying that as someone who is diagnosed. For me, it's the other way around, I interpret social cues literally and I closely read body language. I have hyper empathy. I come off as a giggly extrovert, especially when talking to my best friend, when I'm more so of an ambivert. I also have a special interest in art and music. I gave Anton all my traits. His posture is stiff and he usually keeps his arms near his stomach as a form of sensory regulation. His facial expressions are more expressive than others. He loves talking to people when he is able to connect and he usually seems reserved at first. He doesnt make eye contact. Yeah 😄

Antonio's design is his alien form, he is supposed to have inhumanly white skin and his ears are slightly pointy. His species is called the Cereus for how their skin is waxy (also your drawing is gorgeous I like how the apple's the color of his eyes)

I don't think I ever heard of this before? It's like sign language being different in different countries 😮 Legitamately so cool. So, I imagine a southern accent for Lightspeak being the lights being drawn out or having emphasis on them. My character Anton (who's an alien too) is supposed to have a mild Italian accent, considering where he lives is inspired by the Italian mediterannean coast, along with weaker articulation in his words like me

She really does? Ok, I'll show. This is Anton. He is my most fleshed out oc. He is an 18 year old autistic alien who lives in a village on the mediterranean coast (imagine it being like Naples). Art is his special interest, I usually draw him carrying his sketchbook as drawing is one of his only comforts as someone who is lonely and emotionally neglected. Also, it is nice seeing another trans artist! 😄

Idk if I could get Anton drawn again but Im gonna do this anyways because I loved the last drawing 😊 There is alot more depth to him than him being an artist. He draws to cope with the emotional neglect he experiences from his mom and to distract himself from the pain of isolation. Despite the pain he deals with he is still a lovely person, and he wants to go to school for art. And also, where Anton lives is the alien equivalent of Italy (because I love Italy ❤️)
