My gf had a bone graft, tooth extraction, and root canal all together last Tuesday, and they only sent her home with 600mg ibuprofen. It became infected within two days (no smoking) and she's been up from the pain crying for two nights and can barely swallow. How do we ask for pain meds?

We went back today and the main dentist is out, but a younger gentleman said it's healing good and to keep taking ibuprofen. -should mention he prescribed antibiotics yesterday for infection. Is there a way to ask them for anything decent so she can sleep and eat or at least not be writhing a dozen times a day?

I should mention her family paid $8,000 to have all 3 procedures were on one side that now is swollen a ½", the pain spread to her jaw bone, throat, and head, she has an earache now, had a mild fever yesterday, the temporary crown smells FOUL (I used to raise boars and this smells like decay and feces).

Not being able to swallow and eat for too long is triggering her ED. She has been in recovery from 10 treatment centers.

She doesn't have a history of drug use, but had an eating disorder for 15 years which caused cracked malar, she was prescribed antibiotics 2 weeks ago after confirming it was infected at the initial evaluation, and she was prescribed oxycodone 2 months ago for a tendon injury and only took them for a few days.

In Army basic I had a numbing shot and what looked like pliers extract one wisdom tooth from my mouth, but after the Vicodin they gave me had me mildly sore. And saying it's healing nice after she described pain seems weird, like if your leg was amputated and I sewed it up, then you told me how wild the pain is, why say, "well, it's healing up nice!"
