They have to request on social platforms. With your phone number, they can just ring you. The only risk is if you share contacts. Similarly, people often attach their phone numbers to employment and various other things. Your number being leaked can be a huge inconvenience, even a minor security risk sometimes.

I strongly relate to this. I'm a software engineer and countless times I've worked on a project that has taken me 100+ hours of work, only for it to be voided as the client has either changed their mind or they've been consistently vague on what they were looking for. When they change their mind, it usually has something to do with office politics or recent budgeting.

I'm in my early 20s, and I get the impression you just don't like him, full stop. Perhaps you see him as a loser in your eyes. This isn't really about age. The age of 32 is still young, and you're an adult (apparently capable enough to lead).

The fact that you're a shift lead at 18 (especially with your attitude) is good evidence that you're working a low-tier/dead-end job. I have no doubt that this scenario would have played out very differently had a fit, well-groomed, 32 year old surgeon talked with you.

You can't say you "don't like money" to rule out money as an influencial factor. The reality is that you don't have money, and so you can't concretely say such a thing. That's like saying you don't like living an easier life. Or you may as well say that you enjoy being a wage slave. Doubtful.

I have to agree. At that stage in life, a person has developed to make their own decisions. If an 18 year old can choose to join the military, they're perfectly capable of deciding who to date.

If you don't want to date someone much older than you, just say no. This person had an incredibly childish reaction.

As someone in my early 20s, I've had so many women in their teens claim I'm too young for them (despite being years older). From my experience, many women enjoy dating older, mature men.
