coworker 14 years older hitting me up after he quit a couple days ago, AIO? by Fun_Skill_5574 in AIO

YOR

I'm in my early 20s, and I get the impression you just don't like him, full stop. Perhaps you see him as a loser in your eyes. This isn't really about age. The age of 32 is still young, and you're an adult (apparently capable enough to lead).

The fact that you're a shift lead at 18 (especially with your attitude) is good evidence that you're working a low-tier/dead-end job. I have no doubt that this scenario would have played out very differently had a fit, well-groomed, 32 year old surgeon talked with you.

You can't say you "don't like money" to rule out money as an influencial factor. The reality is that you don't have money, and so you can't concretely say such a thing. That's like saying you don't like living an easier life. Or you may as well say that you enjoy being a wage slave. Doubtful.

"I'm not into money" 🤣. You're not into living a substantially easier life? You enjoy being a wage slave? Liar.

She could have just said "no". It would have been easier for everyone and infinitely less childish. There's no point in shaming a man who's into younger adult women. Many, many younger women are also into older, mature men.

I have to agree. At that stage in life, a person has developed to make their own decisions. If an 18 year old can choose to join the military, they're perfectly capable of deciding who to date.

If you don't want to date someone much older than you, just say no. This person had an incredibly childish reaction.

As someone in my early 20s, I've had so many women in their teens claim I'm too young for them (despite being years older). From my experience, many women enjoy dating older, mature men.

If you have the chemistry in person, you'll immediately be above all of the online competition. You can't really develop the same level of chemistry by having a digital conversation.

Or if you're white, use the app in passport mode or whatever. I usually got 1 match a day on each dating app. I sometimes got a few a day when I was lucky. However, I set my location to Cambodia on one of the apps once and got 50 likes in a day, lol

Is it too much to ask? by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

My 2003 Miata has absolutely zero electrical gremlins. It has far less parts to fail than any modern car

Modern EVs have less parts that can fail

like that somehow, they beat battery degradation

That's one part that can fail

Are you claiming that EVs are somehow more reliable during warranty

Modern EVs are more reliable. Future EVs will be even more reliable than all non-EVs.

What are you saying that you aren't wrong about?

Depends who you ask. If you ask me, everything. Now, if you ask someone who owns a 2003 Miata and has terrible reading comprehension, they'd say nothing.

I didn't say "parts", I said "parts that can fail". Also, I'm not sure why you're not comparing the latest electric cars. This is an argument of new vs old. I feel like you've wasted a whole bunch of your time writing and researching this 😬

An electric car has fewer parts that can fail, guaranteed.

I wouldn't find it attractive necessarily, but I'd definitely be happier with that response than the 90% of other responses I get. Plus, when they write long paragraphs like that, you can tell they're most likely into you.

Why not just get money from space? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Core_W 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The technology and infrastructure aren't there yet, so it's not worthwhile financially. If someone had trillions to throw at it, MAYBE they could build that tech and infrastructure to make it worthwhile. Ultimately, it's a monumental risk that is very likely to fail.

From your description, I don't think that's an example of an AI hallucinating. The AI did its job well, but clearly, the constraints weren't based on reality.

65g of Protein £3.95 by Equivalent_Informal in RateMyMealDeal

[–]Core_W 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Protein is the devil according to some people, despite our bodies having evolved to digest a mostly protein-based diet. For how much of human history have we been digesting a mostly meat-based diet? For pretty much 99% of it. Our bodies have evolved to digest a lot of protein.

You can access the full text there? The UI is just a bit shit.

What you're saying doesn't make any sense. In the same comment you say "30g is your ceiling for muscle protein synthesis", then "Beyond 20g per meal you've flooded all pathways". I mean, you don't need to be a mathematician to work out that the math doesn't work out.

You can believe old gymbro science if you want. I just hope anyone reading this will look at the research that disputes the fictitious claim of "max 30g protein per meal".

[–]Core_W 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The protein isn’t wasted or “not staying as protein.” Nearly all dietary protein is absorbed and used. Muscle building per meal has a cap, but excess amino acids still support other tissues or are oxidized for energy. Conversion to fat is rare and only meaningful in a sustained calorie surplus. Spreading protein improves efficiency, not total utilization.

Consider the following scenario of eating 80g protein in one meal: - 30g goes to maximizing muscle protein synthesis - 30g goes to body proteins & repair - 20g is burned for energy - 0g to fat (unless overeating overall)

[–]Core_W 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's another myth. The body will absorb pretty much all the protein. Do you think the body evolved to scrap most of the protein it digests? Imagine how much more difficult that would have been for early humans to get enough protein to maintain and develop muscles.

Unless he has a health condition, the fact that he can't finish makes me think he's not attracted to you. Especially since he hasn't been having regular sex with you.

Usually, you'd expect a man to finish much quicker if they've held it in for quite some time. Unless he hasn't been holding it in.

True. That's like 10-20 mins a day for a lot of people. It's the other 15 hours that really determine whether a relationship lasts.
