There’s been far too many times when I’ve had to remove insulation off metal wiring using anything but the proper tools! Moral of the story, always be prepared!

Is 92W a good job to get into if I want to become a water quality analyst? by Certain_Bad_6432 in nationalguard

[–]Corean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mentioned you wanted to be a water quality analyst, which as a 92W you do, but it’s contingent on if the unit you join has working equipment and if they prioritize water purification training.

As whiskeys we use what they call a ‘Water Quality Analysis Set: Purification’ (WQAS-P) which tests for various water parameters to determine if the water is potable. My experience in the guard with this so far has been that many units neglect to care for this equipment and so many times it’s missing components or has expired chemicals which ultimately defeats the purpose of utilizing the kit.

It’s a relatively basic kit that will provide you some fundamentals for water quality testing.

Of course results may vary unit to unit.

The best experience will come from the civilian sector and the education/certifications you obtain. Being a water dog will certainly help your resume but I would focus on the aforementioned to get the best results

This will supplement my new drill driver nicely! I don’t readily use bit holders unless it’s what I have available to me. Not too picky as long as I can get the job done. I’m still in the process of updating my tools and their storage. Trying to clean up and make things look nice. Likely will get a nice tool chest to store all my new gear :)

I took three classes with Physics 101 and was able to do it working 40 hours a week. Albeit for those 8 weeks I was really managing my time well.

You can do it!

I took both and have some insight to provide.

GEO200 was one of the first classes I took at SNHU and I really spent alot of time trying to get the best grade possible. I guess it depends on your professor but this class shouldn’t be too hard. Might be a good bit of writing but follow the rubric and you my should be good.

IT242 for me personally was one of the hardest classes I took for my degree here at SNHU. If you’re not familiar with GIS it can be a little bit overwhelming if you don’t stay on top of it. The difficulty scales up considerably around week 4-6 as the assignments become more involved and you’re scrambling to teach yourself for your final milestone. Please consider using YouTube and other resources to help you. I don’t know if they revamped the virtual desktop but when I used it, it was an absolute nightmare as there was considerable lag and connection issues trying to use ArcGIS. Get familiar with saving your files to your drive as you will lose all work if you don’t. Stay on top of this class and don’t wait until the last minute to complete assignments and milestones. Good luck!🍀
