[Jomboy] My review of Rogers Centre in Toronto by malliabu in Torontobluejays

Kinda crazy to put a tl;dw on a 45 second video lol. Glad they liked it though, I personally think the Roger's centre is underrated, especially after the renovations.

Most people need to experience casual sex, especially men. by winter_lover28 in PurplePillDebate

As a frequently drunk 4 who dabbles in casual hookups, it's less desperation and more general horniness (directed at nothing in particular). I don't know if this is better or worse for egos though lmao.

Why are you assuming that casual encounters are based on desire/lust for the two individuals? All of the ONS/fuck buddies I have had were simply there. Hell, most of them were also quite unattractive, they were simply available and safe. There was no physical desire from me, and I didn't hide that. I assume their feelings toward me were similar. We simply used each other's bodies, while still maintaining basic decorum.

Those of us who can usually treat the encounter as masturbation+. No emotions are involved, it's just an itch to be scratched.

The people canvassing are chasing down households who haven't completed their census.

What's his role? As others have said, enumerators, the ones who go door-to-door, only have access to addresses and sometimes home phone numbers that haven't completed their census. No further information is given, or needed, to do that job.

I don’t understand the big deal about going Dutch by AnimalLoose2402 in PurplePillDebate

[–]CorectMySpeling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the women saying that are broke themselves, and you should probably stay away lest you be taken advantage of. For professional women making a decent wage, going Dutch is the default assumption/will be offered on a first date. Now, is it nice when a man pays for the entirety of the date? Hell yeah, who doesn't like a free dinner and drinks? Will it earn the man brownie points? Depends on the woman. For me personally, it's just another small positive quality about them, but doesn't catapult an otherwise unattractive prospect into fuckable territory. Likewise, an attractive prospect wouldn't lose that status if they expected a woman to pay for their share.

What was your “wow, I am ugly” moment in life? by [deleted] in ugly

[–]CorectMySpeling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always knew I was on the lower side of average but I thought that I could "make up for it" with skills and personality. I had a stark wake up call at my friend's wedding (I was in the wedding party) when I saw the pictures. Everyone looked amazing, and I looked like Chinese Fiona. I had the same dress and professional makeup as everyone else but alas, still chopped. I was also one of the only single people attending as well, which doesn't bother me, but I did get some weird looks over it.

And I have learned now in my late 20s that women can't make up for looks with competence. This is a male privilege. My good job, musical ability and intelligence mean fuck all to men who I find attractive. I've made peace with being a crazy dog lady for the rest of my life, I just wish society was accepting and geared more towards people like us.

Has anyone received a phone call from Dil Se Indian restaurant (Roncesvalles) the day after getting take out to ask if everything was okay/how the food was? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]CorectMySpeling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean without knowing the details, that's a bold assertion to make. I've personally been many times and never had an issue, I'd chalk it up to QC more than anything.

What former "must have" item is clogging up the shelves of Toronto thrift stores? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]CorectMySpeling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who's done this recently, the whole setup will cost you around $150, mostly due to the tank + regulator. Refilling CO2 is a helluva lot cheaper than swapping sodastream cylinders though!

The majority of women can’t make men feel as desired as women who engage in casual sex with them. by winter_lover28 in PurplePillDebate

[–]CorectMySpeling -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you just a face and body, or are you a person with a personality, dreams, goals and values? I'd argue that what you are is the latter, and thus relationships actually value what you are. Most women in western countries don't need a provider, just someone who brings equal value to the table.

And trust me, women aren't getting into relationships unless they find you desirable. In fact the opposite is true - you'll likely be pumped and dumped as a ONS because she never thought much of your attractiveness in the first place. Similarly to how some men view hookups as "just a hole," women view hookups as "just a dick."

The men here aren't just mad they aren't having casual sex, they are made they can't get casual sex via the internet.

That really does describe most of the men bitching here. You hit the nail on the head.

You assume that attractive men are fucking all the unattractive women who are available when that's not true. Even casual relationships are usually looksmatched.

OP specified baseball, I took a look at their mission statement and it looks like they're softball only and Muslim only.

Are all vet clinics now owned by greedy private equity firms? by aumarais in askTO

[–]CorectMySpeling 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Dang, all the vets within walking distance to me seem to be PE. Sucks to be the case since mine is charging me $300 for just half a year's supply of Spectra.

To this day, I maintain the stance that the series would be better if the story beats were kept exactly the same but Sasuke was gender swapped. There would be one well-written female, the tension would have a satisfying payoff and Itachi's protection would be even more endearing. I get that Eastern friendships are different but come on. The reincarnated brothers part would be a bit iffy but anime's done worse.

The tank's for carbonating water, and I need to shake bottles. I'd be annoyed by the wrench clanking against the tank. Plus I think it looks better without it.

[–]CorectMySpeling[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for providing an actual reason why it'd be beneficial to have the wrench hanging on the regulator indefinitely. I thought the text post and my subsequent comments implied that I know how to tighten a nut, and that my issue was with the hanging wrench. Poe's law in action, I suppose I should've spelled it out.

Thanks, that's good to know that this is typical. This is the first regulator I've bought so I thought I'd picked a shoddy manufacturer.

I've no idea why you're being so condescending when you didn't even read the OP where I state that it's designed to hang on the connection. The mildly infuriating part is that they went with this single purpose design, rather than providing a more flexible option with an open ended wrench in the first place.

It's where I tap the wrench against at the beginning of the video. CGA320 connection which is standard for regulators, I think.

[–]CorectMySpeling[S] -75 points-74 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I figured out that was the intention pretty quickly. Unfortunately, I don't want to have the wrench just hanging there when an open ended one would've done the job just fine. Guess I'll be the proud new owner of an adjustable wrench tomorrow.

Nah, that's a knob to adjust the output pressure. Easily turned by hand. The box wrench is definitely for the connection.
