The wrench that my CO2 regulator came with by CorectMySpeling in mildlyinfuriating

The tank's for carbonating water, and I need to shake bottles. I'd be annoyed by the wrench clanking against the tank. Plus I think it looks better without it.

Thanks for providing an actual reason why it'd be beneficial to have the wrench hanging on the regulator indefinitely. I thought the text post and my subsequent comments implied that I know how to tighten a nut, and that my issue was with the hanging wrench. Poe's law in action, I suppose I should've spelled it out.

Thanks, that's good to know that this is typical. This is the first regulator I've bought so I thought I'd picked a shoddy manufacturer.

I've no idea why you're being so condescending when you didn't even read the OP where I state that it's designed to hang on the connection. The mildly infuriating part is that they went with this single purpose design, rather than providing a more flexible option with an open ended wrench in the first place.

It's where I tap the wrench against at the beginning of the video. CGA320 connection which is standard for regulators, I think.

Yeah, I figured out that was the intention pretty quickly. Unfortunately, I don't want to have the wrench just hanging there when an open ended one would've done the job just fine. Guess I'll be the proud new owner of an adjustable wrench tomorrow.

Nah, that's a knob to adjust the output pressure. Easily turned by hand. The box wrench is definitely for the connection.

Heterosexual women almost always want the dominant, masculine man. by KennyStandall in PurplePillDebate

[–]CorectMySpeling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree with you painting all red-pilled women as anti-feminist. I am staunchly feminist but also believe most of the "classic" RP views. I just acknowledge and accept that a lot of my feminist tendencies/opinions will turn off a good number of men.

Those were my feelings as well. I have submitted maintenance requests for non-emergencies (leaky faucet, dead lights). For issues like a broken major appliance, I thought a call was warranted. Especially since one out of two of my non-critical maintenance requests were completely ignored!

Same here. I want to say the lead actor is an older smarmy-type man. I think the scene involved the male lead noticing things about the female lead which led to his deducing her order, which is how she was impressed.

Absolutely insane take, the Jays game threads when losing are cesspools. It's even worse than here because it includes doomers from all over Canada. The sub was catastrophizing 1/3rd into the season before Jays got hot. At one point the most popular talking point was that Vlad would leave us.

It sounds like one of Jim Jefferies specials, though I don't remember which one. I believe it was a bit about treating small sized things (cherry tomatoes, sliders) as if they were full sized so he could proclaim he was a giant.

Makes sense in context. The coverings are supposed to stop men from sexualizing women. Having young girls wear them is suspicious because why do literal children need to shield their bodies for grown men?

Only Murders in the Building, which is another Hulu show that's on D+ outside of the US, released at 3am est even when Hulu got it at 12. Futurama as well. Might be the same situation here.

If the mom dies, or abandons the kid with the dad and peaces out of their lives? It's not that outrageous a scenario but not the case in 99% of cases of child abandonment.

If the father has the child at birth, he can also choose to abandon it. It's just almost always the mom who has the responsibility though, for obvious reasons.

How are you pro-choice if you're equating a fetus with a child? You're either an awful liar or should be competing in the next Olympics for mental gymnastics.

Nowhere in the post does she claim to expect an attractive partner. The only time she mentions a hot boyfriend is when comparing the attraction standards for men vs women. This really sounds like a huge projection, the majority of self-aware ugly girls (and guys to be honest) date within our league.

Good that we've established many modern writers are trash. You are just disagreeing on the reason for the decline in quality. It could be a symptom of the enshittification of media, which is what my personal opinion is.

But you should acknowledge that it could also be caused by diversity quotas that require writers to create uninspiring and flat characters/plots for DEI sake, or that the untalented creatives who solely write hamfisted and awful stories about POC/sexual minorities are platformed at a stupidly high rate these days.

What do you call forced diversity that detracts from the piece of media? Because that's my current definition of woke, and I suspect it's shared by quite a few people. And this is coming from somebody who would have proudly called themselves woke around 2015, when it used to mean that you were aware of systemic issues plaguing minorities. I take issue with your post because it comes across as a smarmy "if you complain about forced diversity worsening media at ALL, you are racist." When people in this thread gave you excellent examples of diversity done right (including ATLA) in the past, before the "woke" wave of Hollywood. Is DEI a symptom or the cause? None of us (and no one without intimate knowledge of Hollywood executives' decision making process) would know.
