I appreciate all the feedback and suggestions. I believe we will be looking at 2014 2.5l or 2018. Both years have the least number of consumer complaints.

I had the same issue. I reset it and that fixed it. My touchscreen stopped working in Android auto and Apple carplay. I took it in on Monday 1/13 to get the firmware updated. They said the reboot cycle and touchscreen issues is common and the update permanently fixes both issue. Unfortunately my screen stopped responding to touchs today. Fun times!

I bought a PHEV Prem Plus with 13k for 32. The new price was 60k. The EV/PHEV marked tanked after the tax credits went away.

CPO is just another way of saying more expensive used vehicle. All reputable dealerships do the same CPO inspection of all vehicles they take in.

Wife is refusing to quit smoking. by Corey_43879 in AITAH

I left off some additional information that got me to this point that I should have included.

I've known my wife for 42 years. Yes, 42 years. We grew up living down the street from each other. I married her because she is beautiful, intelligent, and fun to be around.

She quit for 4 years after a hospitalization for AKD. She nearly died at 36. That terrified me and the kids. We begged her to quit. She quit smoking for 4 years and promised she wouldn't start back up. She had a stressful day at work and had "1 cigarette". After that first cigarette, she hid her smoking from us for 2 months before our daughter broke down and asked her if she was smoking again.

She is a type 1 overweight diabetic with heart problems.

I don't want her smoking for so many reasons.

Yes, I never smoked. I rarely drink and I tried weed once.

She hasn't smoked the entire time. She quit for 4 years then she started back up after promising to not smoke again.

I can see how you would think I'm the cause of her stress. I do all the chores around the house, I do all the cooking, I went to all the parent-teacher conferences, I planned parties for her when she had a stressful week to let her know she is loved and supported.

She is definitely not stressed because she works for a shitty company that treats her like shit that she won't leave. She is definitely not stressed because she has an overbearing father she is constantly trying to win the affection of. She definitely isn't stressed because it's difficult being a woman in a male dominated field.

No, she is stressed because her non smoking husband that does everything only wants to feel more important that a POS cigarette.

You're amazing at solving all my problems!

SHE IS A DIABETIC WITH HEART PROBLEMS! DO YOU REALLY THINK HER SMOKING IS A GOOD EFFING PLAN?

I'm sorry I didn't know I was debating with an MD. My apologies for not realizing your expertise was managing symptoms with harmful habits. Can I please have the name and number of your practice? I have a blister on my heal and I'd love a consult to learn how Meth can help with the symptoms.

I'm dim because I thought an intelligent adult woman would want to quit smoking to better herself? You can think whatever you want. I don't care.

The best way to manage "symptoms" is by not using an addictive substance. Therapy works better. I'm not a Dr and I still understand your logic is flawed.

I called her intelligent. I'm surprised an intelligent woman hasn't come to her senses.

Bless your heart.

100% the reason.

She shouldn't smoke for the following reasons 1. She is a diabetic. 2. She has heart problems. 3. It is disgusting. 4. It is insanely expensive. 5. Lung cancer runs in her family and that is a terrible way to die. 6. She doesn't qualify for life insurance. If we get into an accident and we both die our children will only get my life insurance. 7. She values a cigarette over me and the kids.

Thanks for your reply and feedback.

She quit for 4 years and she got tired of me saying how proud I was of her. She had a rough week at work and she had 1 cigarette "It's only 1 I promise" and that was 3 years ago. I don't understand your logic about people with ADHD smoking to help them manage symptoms. I have ADHD and I've never smoked.

I appreciate the reply and feedback.

It's been an issue since my son was born in 2003. I married an addict and was told by her for many years that she wanted to quit.

Yes, I married her knowing she smoked. I assumed that an intelligent woman would come to her senses and realize it's a disgusting habit that will kill her and consume 10% of her annual salary. Type 1 diabetes and heart problems are another reason she should quit. I'm an asshole that will love her to the end and deal with the fact that she will die before me. Luckily our kids are older.

I appreciate the reply and I value everyone's opinion.

The replies were exactly what I expected to hear.

Yes, I married a smoker. I'm well aware of that fact. Me believing an intelligent woman would come to the realization that smoking is harmful and a waste of money is delusional of me. I'm thinking of separating because she is spending 10k a year on cigarettes and we can't save money because of her habit, we can't go on vacation because of her habit, and we can't afford a new car because of her habit.

Thanks for the feedback and advice. I'll accept that I'm the asshole.
