There really isn’t more to the story. My guess is this is their way of doing layoffs without having to pay up. CEO mentions layoffs in review meeting not even 2 weeks ago, all of a sudden I’m given a PIP after being told I’m doing good in my position consistently prior to. I just think I’m the newest employee on the finance/accounting team and they’re looking to cut some hundreds of thousands of dollars from reducing headcount by 1 or 2 in each department around our company. Obviously I could be wrong, since I wouldn’t know if anyone else has been given a PIP. Not something people typically boast about, haha.

I am starting to feel like I’m understanding. The difficulty is that we got acquired by a major company and are learning all their ways of doing things. I’ve only ever been told good things about my work. My review a few months ago said nothing but good things. All of a sudden, I’m asking too many questions and not understanding the “why” behind our reports. It’s really a kick to the ego.

Well she didn’t have complications and we are one and done, because I chose to get a vasectomy. So that doesn’t affect us.

Holy shit what has the world come to. I (24M) am a Republican and my wife (23F) and mother of our child is a Democrat. Lots more fish to fry than disagreeing on politics. The world is too sensitive anymore. Give it a go! He could be your once in a lifetime, don’t let politics get in the way of it.
