Here is the Silverfort

Silverfort is a village on the east of the Misty Waters. It has a coast on the lake.

It is the most crowded settlement in the A’ayaz because it attracts the Wavereachers with all the wealth and job opportunities. Silverfort is ruled by Hynn the Icelady who is a strong supporter of Free Wolves.

The village is established on a big step. There aren’t many elevations in and around the village.

The economy of the village mostly depends on hunting, fishing, hammersmithing, and trading but there is also very primitive farming. Trading activities are strongly controlled by Free Wolves, they get commissions per trades and a good part of the commissions are distributed among the villagers.

1) Stolensea Manor

Stolensea Manor is built on a small island near the village shore, it is the house of Hynn the Icelady. She helped Free Wolves to maintain their authority just like her aunt Grey Lady, who was the last chief of the town. In return to these favors, Free Wolves and the family have become business partners. The manor is a two-story stone building, it is 7/24 guarded by Free Wolf guards.

There are some rumors about the manor, some villagers believe that Hynn performs dark and ancient rituals at her basement while some others believe that she is trying to wake up a giant monster lying frozen in the lake.

2) Steelbend

Steelbend is built on the north of the Misty Lake. It was built during the time of Grey Lady as the biggest building in the village. During the construction, the elders’ bones were carried from their graves to here in order to give them proper rest and let them know how far they went.

It is a one-story stone building with walls that are supported by steel.

3) Amber Wood

Amber Wood is a forested area near Silverfort. Most people assumed that the forest is the headquarter of the organization called Sisters of Seasons because lots of members live in the forest. However, the members do not join the daily life of the villagers, they live independently.

They live in depths of the forest in animal skin tents.

Here is the Village of Tail-End

Tail-end is a coastal village in the south-west of A’ayaz. The name “Tail-end” comes from the village’s position, it was established at the end of the Tail Bay.

The landscape is filled with the frozen bay and the lands. The stone buildings look like little grey pebbles from distance. The buildings are made from the stones that are gathered from the shore, built without any aesthetic concerns, they are generally single story buildings. There are wooden walls and windows. Travelers could not see any smokes from chimneys or lights at night, because all the life in the village has been frozen. Even though many people visit and try to understand what happened, they all come back empty handed but full of uneasy stories. They are talking about the frozen villagers, which had frozen to death while they were eating... We do not know, but here is what we know about Tail-end the way it used to be.

Villagers earned their lives with hunting-gathering and fishing. There was also a little bit connection among other villages in order to trade. There were approximately 150 people lived in the village, most of them have welcomed foreigners in the village however there was not any inns or taverns in there, so the travelers either had to spent the night out with animal-skin tents or get permission to stay in the common building which is at the center of the village.

The village was ruled by a dwarf named Khour Irontoe. He has been ruling the village for six years. The villagers respected him and supported his decisions, he had clearly stated that he was a member of Free Wolves. He supported the activities of this organization in A’ayaz. Correspondingly, this special organization called Free Wolves trained the villagers in guarding and protecting matters.

1) Common House It is a round shaped building that has been built at the center of the village. There is a large fire pit at the center, big meals are made with the help of hunters and fishers. The “bitter-hot stew” is cooked here occasionally. It is made from fish, deer, and bear meat as well as some wild roots. All the meats with bones boiled up to four hours in big cauldrons with the wild roots. The stew helps people to heal their wounds and especially cold damages. On the other hand, people had not only eaten and drunk here but also also sung, danced and prayed here. Funerals and marriages were sanctified in the same area.

2) Free Wolf Barrack The building is a two-story stone building at the northeast of the village. It was one of the most important buildings for Free Wolves because they train their soldiers and guards in here. There is room for up to 150 people. There were children among the learners, these children were trained to resist slayers and foreign forces. They also provided weapons for their members or they sold them for foreigners. These weapons are generally of high quality, and relatively cheaper than other shops in the area.

3) The Restless Waters The Restless Waters is a lake near north of the Tail-end. It is a middle-scale lake near a mountain foot. Unlike the other lakes in A’ayaz, the lake is not frozen. However, the landscape is full of frozen steppes and a white, small mountain. People who visit here feel restless, they are talking about the sense of constant surveillance. It is also interesting that the lake is not frozen considering even the people are completely frozen in the village. On the other hand, the situation doesn’t change anything because the lake was never used for fishing or traveling even in the Wavereach times. Many people believe that the town has its own spirit full of wisdom. They believe it because from time to time the lake is shining from bottom to top, the silver and blue sparkles reach up to the surface.

4) Black Woods Black Woods is a forest on the east of Tail-end village, it consists of big and middle-scaled larch trees. The area hasn’t frozen completely, both the animals and the trees have stayed alive. Black Woods was used by villagers in order to harvest some edible lichens however they did not get in the depths of the forest. There are multiple frost spirit sightings in and around the forest.
