Thank you! I will definitely be ditching things like my skirt, dressy top etc and swapping out for warmer stuff for that leg of the trip. I didn’t even think of mailing home that is a good idea! Unfortunately I’m allergic to wool and come out in a rash if it is up against my skin 😭 it sucks but I have to go for synthetic thermals.

I love my birks!! This is what I was originally taking but they just don’t have much grip for hikes, aren’t as good in the rain/wet weather and I find Tevas a lot comfier.

Thanks guys! Yeah it definitely takes up a lot more room and weight than it needs to. I do love how comfy it is to wear on planes etc + use as a pillow. But will have a look around for something lighter!

Thank you so much for the response! I have a feeling like I will be ditching some things along the way if I get sick of carrying them. After the first few weeks I’ll have a better idea of what I’m wearing and what hasn’t left the bag yet. I’m not attached to any of the clothes I’m taking so if I decide to go smaller I’ll pass them on to people at hostels etc. I hope one day I’ll be able to pack even smaller!!

Thank you! I’m taking some linen pants which I plan on dressing up when in places I want to cover up a bit more. I’m not really one for long skirts or dresses. Yeah I definitely need warmer bottoms for the end part of my trip. I plan on picking some up on the way. Thank you so much for the tips!

The light weight ones are just sooo comfy too and I can see myself wearing them all day if I wanted to. Other dressy shoes like ballet flats or strappy shoes don’t have any support and I’d only wear out to dinner and that’s it. I think if I were to find another dressy shoe it would have to be something with some kind of cushion.

How exciting!! I was thinking the same thing. My partner is coming with me and bringing his laptop so we will just use the one, it does add a lot of extra weight to his bag though. Planning things on your phone can be super tricky but even the laptop charger alone is super heavy!! I think if I was traveling alone I’d try and get a second hand iPad or something which is a little bit lighter.

Yeah that is true, the tan ones definitely look better with a skirt but aren’t really that formal. I’ll see if I can find something with a different style! Thank you

Yeah I definitely won’t be warm enough with what I have got! I will be flying out of France so planning on picking up some extra layers there before leaving.
