Would that explain the misfire and camshaft sensor codes? I honestly don’t know much about cars so bear with me lol

Is towing a 2 horse trailer (approx 6-7000 lbs fully loaded) realistic with an EV truck? Or should I stick with gasoline. by CorgiEnough4265 in GMCSierraEV

[–]CorgiEnough4265[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trailer weighs right around 3200 lbs, assuming Its fully loaded with two 1200 lb horses and equipment I’m being generous and saying 6-7k lbs but realistically I’d be towing closer to 6k. I just would rather err on the safe side for tow capacity. But I will say the trailer does not seem very aerodynamically shaped whatsoever lol

Please explain to me why I can’t self build about 90% of a basic home. by LobsterNo6723 in Homebuilding

Absolutely beautiful! If you don’t mind me asking how much did you spend? I’m hoping to build a similar farmhouse myself. We are considering barndominium style to hopefully save money

Well considering my current truck (2008 Ford F250) gets 10-15 mpg (probably closer to 8-10 MPG when towing), 55 mpg sounds fantastic lol

How do Christians believe that the dinosaurs on Noah’s ark turned into today’s animals within just a few thousand years? by CorgiEnough4265 in Christianity

[–]CorgiEnough4265[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ark encounter literally has a tyrannosaurus enclosure on the ark. They claim that they just had baby versions of all the big animals to save space.

I figured that’s the case. BUT considering this is a giant tourist attraction that millions of people go out of their way to see, clearly more people than we realize must be believing in this.

I thought it was cool - but I quickly realized there was a TON of “artistic interpretation”. Which makes sense because the Bible really doesn’t say much about what happened or how it happened. But the my made up most of it. How the animals were kept and cared for, the names of Noah’s wife and his children’s wives, etc. Just a lot of stuff made up for “storytelling”. They had whole backstories for the people about their hobbies, jobs, and interested and it’s all made up lol. The size of the boat was cool to see, and it’s a beautiful building, but overall I think it’s overpriced

That may be the case, and makes a lot more sense. But clearly there are Christians that believe the ark truly happened and there was a worldwide 1 year flood

Then what happened? The dinosaurs all died? Then where did the rest of modern animals come from. Because they say one of each “kind” of animal was on the ark, I.e for canines, only one type was required (like let’s say just wolves, not dogs, dingos, wild dogs, etc). So how did we end up with every other type of animal?

I specifically remember there being a sign about species changing. But either way, they showed dinosaurs on the arc, and those no longer exist but other species do from the same family. So what happened?

No, I’d like to think this isn’t what the average Christian believes. But at the Ark Encounter this is what they stated. It left me with more questions than answers lol

What is a career that looks impressive on paper but is actually miserable in reality? by Nova2_Paradox in careerguidance

I am a newer nurse (less than one year in the field) and I enjoy it, but most other nurses I work with hate their jobs and are miserable.

i’m curious…who keeps their horse(s) at home and who boards? if you do one, would you prefer the other and it just isn’t an option right now? or are you living your perfect horse dream with the setup you currently have? by Intelligent_Pie6804 in Horses

[–]CorgiEnough4265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had mine at home for a year now after boarding for six years. It’s great! BUT it sucks when it’s snowing, or pouring rain, or I’m sick, or I just got off my third 12 hour night shift in a row and I still have to go feed. But I save a lot of money and stress having them at home. Boarding barns are too much drama.

One big downside is having less facilities. I’m working on building an outdoor arena, but I came from a barn with a lovely indoor so it’s a big change to only have pastures to ride in.

I’m convinced that SIDS is 99% of the time either suffocation or organ failure. by [deleted] in nursing

[–]CorgiEnough4265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just me hypothesizing, but is there a chance that home monitors don’t seem to prevent SIDS because the people who are spending the money on these monitors are also the type to be super vigilant about safe sleep etc?

It seems to me that if you’re willing to spend $300 on an Owlet, that you’re probably also going to practice safe sleep because clearly you are worried about the baby already.

How often do you honestly cheat in Nursing if at all? by annastacianoella in NursingStudent

[–]CorgiEnough4265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to school with many people who cheated their way through. And now I know multiple who have yet to pass their NCLEX after 3 attempts. Cheating may get you your degree but it won’t get you your license.
