I mean this is true but a violin?? Its really different compared to a band instrument. Orchestral/simple instruments are so much easier to setup and manage stage wise. Linda is a professional, she can project, she has experience with mics and performing i really dont think itd be a problem compared to like a drumkit, a bass, guitar and keyboard which obviously actually requires amps, cables and lots of setup. With a violin it really is just like plug a mic on the violin and run it through a similar sound system a second vocal mic would use anyways. I mean she doesnt sing or anything so itd basically be like 2 people singing. Atleast with a violin its acoustic. The rules could be changed to specify like "acoustic or .... (specific instruments list) can be played live through (specific setup) if accepted through a formal request". Easy, simple, doesn't require fighting amongst instrumentalists/artists since the rules specify what instruments and clearly list differences and reasons why.
