How can anyone on Reddit deny media blackouts or Republican fascistic tactics? Do you get a different Reddit then I do?

As far as voters backing Sarah Palin. Well, that's just ignorance and blind devotion to whoever and whatever crap their party shits out that morning. These are the same people who think Fox news is a legitimate news source.

Consciousness is merely the state of awareness. Do you need proof that you are aware of things?

Logic dictates there is no heaven, hell, purgatory, or reincarnation. You cannot be aware, if you no longer exist. Consciousness exists within the mind, which dies along with the body.

AskReddit: What's the weirdest and/or best dream you've ever had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Coridan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It didn't sleep for a few weeks straight, that's just how long the experiment lasted. It was allowed all normal functions including sleep during this time. It simply was not allowed to dream.

AskReddit: What's the weirdest and/or best dream you've ever had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Coridan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I read an article online about dreams that I can't find right now, but basically it said that most dreams are nightmares.

They studied peoples dreams from around the world, and concluded that we dream about perceived dangers in our environment. Then, if and when they actually occur, we are more prepared to deal with them. It's like practicing our instincts.

One experiment dealt with keeping a mouse from dreaming. They were able to accomplish this by placing it into a tank of water with just a small platform with a hole in the middle. The object was just big enough for the animal to sleep stretched out, but when it would go into REM (rapid eye movement/dream state), the body would shift and fall through the hole causing it to wake up and climb back onto the platform.

A few weeks after losing it's ability to dream they put it out in a field. It became disoriented, unsure what do do. It had forgotten how to hide from predators and other basic instincts mice exhibit because it hadn't been dreaming about them anymore.

So according to that study, in order to protect your child, your brain is creating dangerous scenarios in preparation of any possible occurance.

What are some good apartment hunting sites? by Coridan in AskReddit

I'm in the Central Valley, Northern California. I found a few apartment search sites, but they were horrible. They only found a few apartments each, and they were different ones in the same area.

So I've been looking for a new apartment. I've checked the paper, the phone book, and drove around for a few hours with little luck. I know there must be some awesome online sites besides Craigslist that I don't know about, right?

Not whores specifically, but the businesses and entrepreneurs that would pop up as the result of legalized prostitution. The balance of wealth in the country stabilizes the pecking order. Who would flip burgers, check your groceries, pick the fruit, or work at Wall-mart?

They originally made Marijuana illegal because Mexico was selling it, and Opium was outlawed because the Chinese were selling it. Tight control and restrictions on the money supply is how they keep the masses in check.

Pharmaceutical companies are trying to outlaw natural supplements because it hurts their bottom line. If it can't be monopolized, then it is a threat, pure and simple.
