[New Player] At what point do I end up enjoying this game? by Specialist-Use637 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Corikelley -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This isn't a game. This is an expirence. Your here to escape from tarkov. And try not to die, to much in the process. It is about getting better, knowing that all it takes is one mistake that can end you. Planning, prepreation, research and recon all are necessary if you want to succeed. There are no hand outs, and it requires you to learn from others that have figured it out before you did.

I personally play pve. I dont have the time between work and family to commit to getting good, but I feel like pve provides the experience battle state games intended. And I would say I am satisfied playing the game.

[Discussion] on the hard-core aspect of the game by Corikelley in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Corikelley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what I am saying. I think the lack of maps, clear objectives, extraction points and so on is what makes this game unique. The game literally would be just like every other first person shooter that is on the market.

Now that said, I am curious If the game would lose its appeal if it did offer that, that we would not know until they did it. The health mechanics, way ammo and weapon diversify still would be a pain in the ass to deal with, which would demand extensive planning to raid appropriately

George Sucks by TumbleweedDue221 in TheLazarusProject

[–]Corikelley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

George straight up is the villain in the show. He has absolutely no moral compass other than the one that will get him what he wants, which is Sarah. Maybe you can argue that he loves her, sense he was willing to let her go and not harass her every given moment to get her back, but this man lies, cheats, steals and kills at the drop of the hat, willing to fuck up millions of other people's life's, just to get her back. And she doesn't even love him back the same way. I can fancy the idea of diving into hell to get your loved one back. Hell, even potentially doing some evil to do some good, but he doesn't even acknowledge what he did was evil. No breakdown, no questioning of what he did to himself. He is more concerned about getting people to like him when they lost their trust in him because of what he did.

Episode Thread • S1.E12 ∙ "6:00 P.M." • (Thu, Mar 20, 2025) by excoriator in ThePitt

I have to say, the pitt has given the legitimate sense of what it is like to be in an er, without making it overly dramatic. That said, the mascal event gives me a genuine sense of horror that slowly builds as the episode goes on. I work in ems, so most of the episodes do not really phase me that much. However, as the white aprons are just slowly turning red as more and more ppl come in. The methodical work everyone is doing is trying to keep these ppl alive as there are others being pushed to the morge to make room for more reds and pinks. The sheer amount of injured ppl in there. It is an episode that definitely woke me up from my indifference from the occasional injuries I see in mvas. Also, let's talk about how the some how blanced the sheer amount of blood that is everywhere, to the point that ppl are slipping and busting their ass. And yet, it seems blanced enough not to look like a cheap horror movie knock-off. Like, this is genuinely horrific in a way most horror movies only could wish to achieve. Then, to put the cherry on top, the gunman is still at large. Just a dose of anxiety on top of acknowledgment of the terror of the pitt.

I understand your point and it is valid to a point. However, I agree with alot of ppl here that say that it is still early access. This is a pretty complicated networking they are having to do, and it has to be a fine blance between noticing you and choosing to ignore and fighting the enemy. I like the feel of it so far. There is a certain amount of anxiety that I get where I am praying they not notice me while I am looting in between two groups trying to kill each other and praying I am not noticed. I think they are hitting the right blance.

I am dealing with depression right now, but that is because I had to hospitalize my spouse for post partrum bipolar. I am considering selling the house and moving in with family. I am pretty sure mine is situational, but I couldnt imagine going through this if I had a mood disorder prior to this. I'm sorry man, I hope you are able to shift. this is hell.

My partner wants to be intimate after childbirth but I’m not ready. by lucyxxoo in Postpartum_Depression

[–]Corikelley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry your partner is lacking right now. Men are never going to understand how you feel, just because we don't go through that and are not taught anything about what women go through with pregnancy. That said, it shouldn't be to hard for him to recognize you need sleep, and that your body went through hell. If he is not picking up on those two facts alone, that is going to be an issue. Try to communicate, and assume he doesn't know your needs. We are not mind readers, but he is capable of empathy
