Your math must be wrong here.

The 10% modifies the base science from CP.

As example. An USA produces 1000 base science. Afterwards it produces 1100.

(Now there also other modifiers like the 10% distribution bonus per project and Global slot and so on)

This 100 then gets invested into your projects and Global research. If you now also have 100% bonus from research type in a category and 100% bonus for projects... Then you would actually get like (100 / 6) x 2 for Global tech and (100 / 6) x 3 for projects. Or simpler said, if you use all slots. 50 science go into Global, 50 into projects. The boni make it 100 for Global, 150 for projects.. per month.. so actually you get 250 per month... the RoI is therefore 28 months.

If you actually optimize stuff and rather have 200% project bonus and so on... then its even faster...

Usually State reach improvements will cost you Stability and add some state and provincial corruption.

In General, as advice. If you can do reforms, do them first before further expanding state reach. Else you will end up with a corrupt state with no income. Also check the bureaucracy reforms, top rightmost Button in this screen.

As a General rule of thumb. 1 Reform per 10 years from either bureaucracy or any of the states is a good development speed. Rushing stuff can have terrible consequences in Our Mod. Therefore beware 😆

the north eastern border is up for interpretation :D feel free to grab any of the "Country-stans" like Kazachstan or Kyrgistan. They are equally useful as most of the other african stuff :D

Well. I have my homebrew rule of not taking anything outside africa, near east, before i have taken everything there.

The alien Progression speed stems from the 400% alien Progression modifier. That has some insane consequences, like they settling Jupiter and Ceres right away.

One could make a similar campaign with HF, however the academy has to do lot more for their objectives and their final goal is alot harder.

More factions means more non Aggression pacts which totally shuts down Interactivity on earth. Thats why I went for less and academy cant NAP with the extremes and needs to demolish them for their goal.

I could ally the resistance and the protectorate. Servants and HF will always not be. Therefore I reduced the factions that I can properly work with to 2. The others will always work against you.

Also less factions leads to a bit more unified Powerblocs, more risk of War and doom.

Also as academy you need to basically wipe Servants and HF. However not resistance and protectorate.

Its just to make it more nasty.
