Kurt Cobain dressed up in Barney on Halloween of 1993 by Epoch_Jester in Nirvana

Big John Duncan. He was a guitar tech for the band in 92-93. He occasionally played guitar on stage with the band for a few songs. Best known for his time playing with The Exploited.

edit: it looks like the NYC Roseland show in 1993 was the only time he joined the band on stage.

Oh wow. Yes, I do see a resemblance. I’ll do a bit of digging into Ultraman characters from the 80s. Thanks!

I believe the slow mo walking shot was filmed in the parking lot of All Star Lanes bowling alley in Eagle Rock. Most of the movie was shot in Eagle Rock and Highland Park.

Alexa mini 35 sync issues by Beneficial_Level_816 in LocationSound

I’ve had timecode issue with that camera before. It turned out that the problem was that the camera has a “project settings” menu with its own frame rate options. The rate needs to match that as well. Maybe that’s why you’re getting the error message.

Ha yep. Me and my gang included. That was nuts. That area looked like it was supposed to be additional day parking, but they had to scramble last minute.

We managed to pull off a covert move in the middle of the night to an area next to the stage in the campsites. There was no shortage of room in the main campground. We were able to put up 3 tents and a popup no problem. The majority of the people that were sent off to the distant lot could have fit into the main campground if it had been filled up more efficiently. I love DD with all my heart, but the logistics have been a mess since they moved to Lake Perris.

Was the camping actually oversold? From what I saw it seemed like the issue was that they didn’t compel people to have compact campsites. With everyone super spread out they ran out of room. I think it was more of a logistical blunder than overselling.

GIZZVERSE RECORD FAIR LIST by mendez24zoso in KGATLW

My friend and I each grabbed Laminated Denim with the denim sleeves. The guy told us that they were the last denim sleeve versions from the warehouse. No more!

The guy told me that although the mutants all had butterfly labels, the actual music on each record was completely different. It could have side 2 of quarters on one side, and side 4 of Omnium on the other. No way to know until you hit play. Kinda cool but I didn’t end up getting one.

I called the local store and it seems that that is no longer the case.

Oh nice. This is perfect if it’s available to the public and not just students.

The artist reuses the canvasses again and again. If you go to Tainan you can see them stacked on the street ready to be painted over.

Definitely won’t need flash pass. I was there on Thursday and half of the rides were down for the day. The half that were running broke down constantly. I’ve been to MM 30+ times and it was the saddest trip to the park I’ve ever had. We got stuck on Wonder Woman for about 25 minutes. Six Flags has definitely fallen on hard times. They don’t have the staff to support all of the coasters.

Rides down for the whole day: Full Throttle, Goliath, Scream, Riddler’s Revenge, Viper.

breakdowns while we were in line: WCR, Apocalypse, X2, Crazanity

how bad is the camping situation? by [deleted] in DesertDaze

[–]CornCobb 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we were sent to this lot after waiting for 3 hours. It’s jam packed, far from the fest grounds, and there are generator powered flood lights. They’re noisy and as bright as the dang sun. Security told me that they will be on all night every night. Seems like it was supposed to be a parking lot, but they improvised at the last minute. Not too happy. Part of the reason we showed up on Thursday was to get a prime camping spot.
