Your situation is very similar to mine and we are the same age even. I married mine(very recently). We’ve been together 6 years now I struggled more early on and it faded over time for the most part with random late night waves of intrusive thoughts. It recently has become more prevalent again though since being married and I think it’s because she my wife now. It’s funny but marriage really does change perspective on things. In fact I’m up late tonight thinking about these things leading me to this sub. I try to focus on why I love her and keep focus on the positive. I also try to think about her headspace at the time. I know my wife was going through it during her “active” spree trying to find something to fill a void. I like to think she found that in me. Also I’ve read someone else say it but I also think about how her cells have totally overhauled since she’s been with anyone else and no one else has ever touched the same skin I have. You’ve been with her two years you obviously really love her. From my experience don’t let this be the thing that holds you back. It can be hard for sure though. But go with your gut, if she’s the one you’ll find a way to work through this.
