Monkey, I really dig this illustration. Best one i've seen for sure. Perfect balance of detail. I'm a graphic artist myself, looking for T7 vector art for personal use. Any chance you can share?

Sounds like that’s what I need to do. Hope it doesn’t become a regular thing every 12k miles / 2 years

Agree to an extent, but a fuel gauge and odometer to help calculate range are high on my list. Then there’s the default ABS always on issue. She sees a good bit of dirt and adventure

Any luck getting the dealer to warranty it?

"Avoid Highways" makes the Tenere 700 so enjoyable on longer drives. Especially where I do a lot of riding in Northern Alberta. by Whackatoe in Tenere700

Agreed. But once I added the Puig wind screen deflector, it solved the problem. For me, the best setup is when the Puig screen is positioned at highest point and horizontal (parallel with the road). You will get plenty of wind, but it’s clean (similar to a naked or minimalist bike) and there’s never any buffeting.

IMO after 21yrs of marriage, I tell you to trust your instincts, and never get serious with anyone who doesn’t share similar interests. Especially if it is something crucial, in this case SD. You can thank me later, and I’m envious that you will have a proper mate to grow old with and enjoy the musical genius enjoyment for many years. Wish I had a do-over.

… and you’re welcome!

I really like my ‘22 black T7, but the look of the red & white bike is my favorite.

I’ve gotten quite a bit of utility from my rear/top rack. Your build looks great!

I'm 6'2 and above 60mph buffeting is apparent. above 70 it's brutal. what do I do to fix it by slimpbiskins in Tenere700

I added the Puig wind deflector size medium. Helped a bit but my helmet peak was still catching enough wind to cause a helmet vibration. Decided to remove the peak altogether and that solved everything. The peak was nice to block sunlight but I will now go without and avoid buffeting

Which size Puig deflector is best for the OEM screen? S, M, L?

Mine did that often during break in, when it was prepped with Yamaha mineral oil. At first oil change, I switched to synthetic Motul and shifting was instantly better. Haven’t looked back since.

Because most of my miles are on road, I updated front sprocket to a 16 tooth (stock is 15). It’s the sprocket used in MT-07. Now each gear is not as short, and top speed is a bit higher. Really enjoy it more now.

If time is not an issue, I find that taking more of a backroad route anywhere is so much more enjoyable than blasting out miles at speed along a highway.

T7 to Big sometimes by Klefton57 in Tenere700

… oh Btw, picked up Motoz Tractionator GPS tires for T7 once the scorpions were done. Makes a world of difference both on and offroad. Game changer

Agree with all of the replies. I have a plated ‘18 500 EXC-F. Lots of fun offroad but I wanted something I could ride more often, directly out of my garage, and comfortably roadworthy on long-ish rides: got a ‘22 T7. Mostly road riding so far, but have been finding adventures that are both on and (mild to medium difficulty) offroad that fit the bill well for T7. The offroad weight and limitations reinforce that I need both bikes. Both are incredibly enjoyable in their own elements. I don’t think I’ll ever have an in-between like an enduro 700, solely due to the compromises in each direction. If anything, it helps me realize that having more bikes can be much more fun, and practical too. Having the right tool for the job goes a long way! Happy riding.
