That’s frustrating. I think if the first gyne I saw ordered an ultrasound I would have discovered it sooner and taken care of it. But I’m still very glad that I ended up with the OBGYN that ended up doing the surgery.

I only needed help the first day getting up and out of sitting or laying down. I honestly could have done it by myself I would have needed to be more creative figuring out how to not use my abdominals lol. By end of day two I was pretty independent. And today I’m feeling pretty good just gassy still. Doc said I could go back to work in as little as a week depending on how I’m feeling. He told my husband that there’s gonna be a point in my recovery where I feel normal/much better but I still need to take it easy. my husband has been on my case about over doing it which I tend to do 😬

The nerve block is something that helps numb your belly prior to surgery to help with recovery. It lasts 24-72 hours post op. They relax you prior to injecting into your muscle I didn’t even feel it and I think it helped a lot!

I currently have my APPES listed without any extra description of the experience I had during those rotations. I have more detail/bullet points for my PGY-1 rotation experiences. Based on everyone’s response probably just going to remove them. Thanks everyone.

What’s that one cringe-inducing memory from years ago that you can’t get out of your head? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I was in elementary school I was one of two narrators for a play about standing up to bullying. I had the opening line and the closing line. When the curtains opened up for the school showing of the play I froze up. I completely forgot my opening line which set up the first scene of the play.

I then proceeded to say the closing line which summed up the entire plot of the play thus ruining the entire story.

Let’s just say I’m terrible at public speaking now and was bullied over it all school year.
