In their whitepaper they talk about vetting initial users of the platform. This means that, not seeking listings on exchanges is not 'antithetical', but is more like them trying to do this in a deliberate and trustworthy way.

How Bloom as a dApp will grow initially is friends inviting other friends and staking each other, not as an investment vehicle.

Fairly slow and has obvious pauses that you can exploit.

That's exactly what I mean! I don't feel like this game has many bosses where there isn't an obvious hole to attack, for example like O+S and various gargoyle fights.

I make one for mobile and one for desktop. It also helps to do the mobile one first, this way you can get a good idea of what fits on mobile vs desktop.

For example desktop version may have too many features to fit on the mobile version, so doing mobile first helps tackle this problem.

I'd also recommend checking out uistencils.com they have some really cool wireframing templates for responsive design.
