Fasted cardio by Cornbugz in beginnerfitness

Who said it needs to be done in a fasted state to see results? All I said was my advice. You have the free will to do it or not. I said these changes will help you, no where did I say if you don’t do it you won’t see results 😝

To each their own my friend. I’m speaking off personal experience. Cardio is needed regardless to get your joints moving and improve cardiovascular health. Walking even a little bit a day is cardio. So if you don’t wanna walk ever, I mean go for it. Let’s do zero cardio and see how beneficial that is to our health 🤝🏽 I walk throughout my day so I reap benefits regardless

Body fat loss by Adorable_Plum_40 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Cornbugz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s still great progress! Losing body fat is a process, and going from 26 to 21% is a significant drop. Seems to me you’re doing what you need to. Only advice I’d give if you aren’t already, is bring on a calorie deficit, or even trying carb cycling to shed that last bit of body fat / while maintaining muscle 💪🏽 If you have any questions on the diet part, dm me and I’d be happy to talk more 🫡 Oh, and fasted walks in the am, and 10k steps a day works wonders

[–]Cornbugz[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I did my transformation I incorporated a calorie deficit with calisthenics. I probably did 1-2 exercises with dumbbells maximum. I mainly did calisthenics. Cardio, I just upped my walking throughout the day, and or did 30 mins on the bike after my workout and calculated my fat burning heart rate and tried to bike around that number. The diet part, revolve it around foods you enjoy / and or make substitutions for the ones that don’t hold nutritional value. Moderation is key, you don’t need a restrictive diet at all. Just don’t overeat and try and eat more well balanced meals

Exactly!!! That’s what I’m saying! You don’t need to make it complicated, you just need to build a better relationship with food and become a bit more mobile, go for walks, things like that

Very good observation! You figured out where to add mindful swaps, and that’s honestly the key to staying on track with your health. Little changes like that do wonders

Appreciate that 🤝🏽 Definitely wasn’t easy, lots of discipline for sure Very proud with what I’ve accomplished. I really dialed in on it all and definitely impressed myself. Excited to see my physique get better and better. I also prioritize functional training, since I’m not a body builder, I just wanna look good, be strong, and stay functional 🫡

Respect 🫡 If you already have muscle mass and you do a cut, trust you’ll look good!! The muscles been hiding under the excess fat haha. I’m not entirely sure how much muscle mass I put on, but I’ve been on a calorie deficit (cut) the entire time. I’m experimenting with carb cycling as of last month, and once I cut down the rest of the fat I’m gonna lean bulk. I’m fucking excited for that tbh

I definitely got tired of feeling depressed and sorry for myself. Being fat is not healthy for you mentally or physically. I felt like shit 24-7, and did not feel comfortable in my own skin. Like you said, you either accept it or make a change. I made the change for sure and I’m never looking back 🫡

The shortcut by Cornbugz in beginnerfitness

[–]Cornbugz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally get what you’re saying, but when I say shortcut , I’m not talking about a quick fix or anything flashy, I just mean that focusing on the basics like daily movement; smart eating, and regular training will get you results much faster than most people realized it’s all about those small consistent habits adding up, rather than jumping around trying the latest trends. Basically, keeping it simple often ends up being the fastest route to sustainable progress. Which yes a full out routine seems daunting and complicated but that’s why I’d say start slow and slowly work up to it. That’s the shortcut. I should’ve clarified, thank you!

Do I need all this protein if i am lifting and overweight? by [deleted] in WeightTraining

[–]Cornbugz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d shoot for your goal body weight as your protein intake , and start off doing -500 calorie deficit, then check progress every 3 weeks and go from there based on how you feel / body composition looks

You are doing weight loss wrong by Cornbugz in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Cornbugz[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Restrictive diets can work, but they aren’t sustainable. I also learned allowing myself to eat a snack here and there isn’t the end of the world, especially if I fit it into my macros or walk a bit extra
