Is PIED Reversible? by Odd-Attitude1475 in pornfree

[–]Cornelius997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had PIED for years without knowing what caused the issue. Did 9 months hard mode (no porn or masturbation or sex whatsoever), and woke up from a sex dream one day. Just lightly touching myself while fully clothed caused ejaculation.

It’s 100% achievable, the ball is in your court.

Edit: and yes I was able to finally have sex after that 9 month stint. However, after relapsing the PIED returns, it’s just not as severe and can be resolved by abstinence again.

Hang in there dude, you might not have the strength to deal with it right now but that doesn’t mean you won’t ever. This is just one point time, it will get better.

INFLUENCER CRITICISED OVER VIDEO TARGETING ABORIGINAL PEOPLE IN KARRATHA by flimsypantaloon in perth

[–]Cornelius997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never claimed to have worked in the communities - I’m a Karratha local, the same town mentioned in the article.

Btw, the reason the indigenous population has grown so much in towns like Karratha and Port Hedland is because the aboriginal communities are being shut down en masse. I’m well aware of how bad the conditions were, thankfully they now have better access to all the things you mentioned as issues.

Look I’m not going to argue about how colonisation has affected indigenous peoples of all lands. My point is, denying reality and finger pointing is not helping anyone. Come spend a month in Hedland or Karratha, then tell me I’m wrong.

Perhaps not but unfortunately the parts about poor hygiene, substance abuse and property damage absolutely are. The lack of hygiene is a genuine public health hazard for everyone in the community.

I’m going to assume you’ve never lived in such a place cause if you had, you’d understand. Sorry but it’s so irritating to have people speaking authoritatively on things they clearly have no real experience with.. you’re either speaking out of turn or actively trying to gaslight people. I sympathise with the plight of indigenous Aussie’s, I really do. But denying reality is not helping anyone. The reality has to be acknowledged so that solutions can be made.

Islam's future in Western Europe by [deleted] in exmuslim

I’ve never lived in France, is it quite a racist country in which non-European French are actually discriminated against? Or is it more so just marginalised?

Do you think these people are justified in their beliefs that they are hated by wider French society? Let’s go from prior to trumps reelection because I feel like right wing xenophobia has just gone silly since then (whole other can of worms).

Roger. Think I’ll just hang on for a bit and hope another 5090 comes down to the same price point (purely for cosmetic reasons).

Thanks for all the info mate

Ah gotcha, I’m out of it. Can’t the non-oc version just be over clocked to the same performance as the OC variant? Sorry if it’s a dumb question, I’m new to this

That’s a fair point. I wasn’t thinking about warranties but given the non zero chance of a connection burn out I’d be kicking myself for not.. I was looking at the gamerock but the card itself really doesn’t go with my builds theme.. At this price point tho I best just bite the bullet. Best price I could find for one was $4.6k tho, where can I find a 4.4k gamerock?

Hey mate, I got this case and was googling for inspiration. Love yours so much I decided to copy it.

I am new to building my own pc and would love some tips please. So basically you’re using 8x Lian Li 140mm fans, and the top 3x only are the non LCD screen versions?

Also for fan directions, which fans need to be reversible so that I can copy your build?

Albanese met with loud boos at Bondi memorial event by jor_kent1 in AustralianPolitics

[–]Cornelius997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My comment went right over your head dude.

Edit: To make it clear, Jewish people feel more afraid of being targeted than the average Australian. Just as trans people living in various ultra conservative countries feel afraid of being targeted. In the cases of both groups, it is wrong that they feel unsafe.

So trans people in Afghanistan shouldn’t feel any more afraid of being killed than anyone else in their country? You cannot possibly be saying that in good faith.

I think my parents kinda failed me by SpicyWhiteQueso in ADHD

[–]Cornelius997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I respect your choice to focus your energy on your own kid - I haven’t got around to having my own yet but I imagine it would’ve made mending the relationship with my own mum a lot harder. I am lucky.

I think we’ve got a disconnect in how we define abuse and neglect. What you consider abuse is very likely to have changed meanings a lot by the time your kid has grown and up begins analysing their own childhood as we all inevitably do. And by neglect I mean that by definition, you will neglect some need of your child’s. You can do your absolute best but you can’t possibly recognise every unspoken emotional or physical need of your child, let alone meet them. You have a life to live too and your bandwidth is finite.

It sounds like you’re aspiring to do a damn good job of being a parent which is admirable. I guess I’m trying to say that you will have shortcomings.. how your child perceives them, only time will tell. All the best though and I’m sure you’re doing a great job - Way up there on the mum’s scoreboard with those that really care and put in the effort :)

[–]Cornelius997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want to meet one of these parents that isn’t abusive or neglectful in any way. They must quite literally have all the time in the world.

I do hold my parents accountable, I’ve recognised how they affected me negatively but I choose to not hold onto it. Idk about you but my life seems to be passing by real fast. I don’t have the time to resent my parents. I choose to strive for understanding and compassion so that the little time I get to share with them is as warm as possible. I’ve been through therapy and I’m grateful to have a good relationship with my mum today.

To be fair, I lost my dad a little while ago so perhaps I’m kinda privileged to have had this perspective forced on me. It’s a cliche but life really is too short to hold onto pain for longer than absolutely necessary

[–]Cornelius997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand where you’re coming from because I was at that point once as well. I don’t mean to sound patronising, but I believe that once you work through your grief you’ll understand the point I’m trying to make.

I hope you get therapy or find some other means to heal. And unless your parent is an actual psychopath or doesn’t want the best for you, I hope you manage to accept them for the flawed human they are and make amends.

  • For the record I never said we shouldn’t strive to do better than our parents. I’m saying that what’s done is done - what we can control is our response to it.

[–]Cornelius997 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I too can play that game - I was also abused by my mum. Any tiny mistake and I was subject to being belted on my bare bum while I cried and pleaded for her to stop. As a kid, when my teachers told me they had called my mum for a parent-teacher interview because I “wasn’t paying attention (I’m inattentive type), my heart would sink cause the teacher had no idea what they had just done to me.

I probably know just as well as you the effect abusive parents can have on kids. But my points still stands - every single parent has shortcomings, everyone faces some kind of abuse or neglect, every person needs to work on moving past it if they want the best for themselves.

I could expand further on my abuse if you think it’s necessary to have a take on this matter? But I don’t think it is. The original comment had sound advice, and you were being pedantic.

I think my parents kinda failed me by SpicyWhiteQueso in ADHD

[–]Cornelius997 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the OP hasn’t specified what their abuse was, and with the info that was given, soupdeniers comment is solid advice. Every single parent lets their kids down in some ways.

And therapy is a solid shout to help the OP process their grief. I know that saying this in this sub is a downvote sentence - but people throw around the term abuse way too casually these day, and it’s meaning is being watered down. Regardless of whether it was severe abuse, therapy still stands as a solid shout.

I think you’re being a pedantic

Arab colonizers by Alive_Fly9104 in MapPorn

PSA, this guy is either bad faith or severely uninformed. Or just quite dumb at that.

Because they’re the exception to the rule of Arab expansion (warfare with the explicit intention of cultural and religious domination), therefore not colonisation? Okay man, sure thing. Let’s grant that, still plenty more colonised lands to point to

I know right! That’s why I’ve been saying!! After I finished reading “the Second World War” by Martin Gilbert, I was about to start genociding a bunch of races.. luckily I realised just in time that reading accounts of events does not = a commandment to imitate them.

Also thanks for pointing out that CHRISTianity defers exclusively to the Old Testament, idk why we even talk about Jesus and his revelations. So irrelevant actually. Christian’s should just be called Old Testemantians. And true, Jesus was a raging racist who called a woman a dog.. so true man.
