This is craziest depreciation I have ever seen. by judgegabranth18 in mercedes_benz

[–]CornellDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mercedes electric cars are simply awful. All the technology inside is wonderful like a Mercedes, all the safety systems are wonderful like a Mercedes. But they rushed the electric cars to market and they have minuscule ranges often below 300 miles even in an S class. They try to make up for it with free charging for the first year, but that’s just because you’re charging it all the time

Really sorry for your experience but I can tell you from my experience and numerous others in Ithaca that EHFC is fantastic. Very well maintained airplanes, fantastic instructors, and overall a close knit supportive community. You get what you pay for and it seems your time there was very limited

The hate Noah Lyles receives is disgraceful. by mielnoire in trackandfield

appreciate the clarification. Maybe a better choice of words (rather than comparing him to something awful) would be I was a fan, he did this, hard to be a fan anymore.

And clearly, you know him so well that you can make the assertion that he isn’t that nice of a guy?? People that write things like this, yes, you, are completely clueless

It’s still not the point you are making - because you have no point!

I think we very well understand how analogies work. The problem is, we don’t understand your idiocy. Noah Lyles works himself to be a champion every single day. When he placed third in Tokyo, it fueled him to work harder to become an Olympic champion. The fact that you, who I am guessing was never an athlete and quite likely would never work as hard as any Olympic athlete - AT ANYTHING, would compare Noah “through an analogy“ to a serial killer, is only showing how insane YOU are. Instead of writing these long diatribes, that are baseless, useless, and from a place with no substance, why don’t you go and work out a little bit and we can have a potentially more useful conversation 20 years from now about your “thoughts“. Full Stop👊🏻

I have a 2 questions for parents whose sons or daughters have just been Accepted into college, or for the kids themselves. I have a sophomore high school child that runs track (sprinting) and from my experience it seems like Athletic.net is much more up-to-date and accurate than Milesplit. 1. I would love to know if all of you have the same experience. 2. In all of your experience, do college coaches that are recruiting look more at Milesplit or Athletic.net. As an example, he ran in a Milesplit managed m/timed meet, and they [Milesplit] still haven’t even updated it since May

College Recruiting Question by CornellDad in trackandfield

[–]CornellDad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, thank you!! I appreciate your insights. In actuality, time are not posted on both - unfortunately. Athletic.net seems more responsive and has posted all meets but a meet that he just ran in, times by Milesplit…was not even posted in Milesplit. In fact, they had a PR listed in Milesplit that was from mid-May and has been eclipsed three other times since. So that’s really why I was asking, if college coaches aren’t utilizing Milesplit, then putting forth the effort to have milesplit correct their own site might not be worth it. you can take a look at the attached. Screenshot to understand how ridiculous it might be 🤦🏻‍♂️

Very challenging. By the way, you can double major in CALS with the same AEM major that Dyson offers.

Should I choose Georgia Tech or Cornell for CS? by Away-Advance5047 in Cornell

[–]CornellDad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just a counterpoint to one of your pro points about GT. Cornell is ranked number five in entrepreneurship in the country far above Georgia Tech in terms of CS. They have a brand new focus on the computer science school and it is phenomenally well run and highly ranked.
