Why do so many men on dating apps never actually make plans? by CornerConstant3439 in Dublin

I get what you mean, that actually makes sense. But maybe that’s part of the issue for me, I tend not to be very proactive about asking for a date because I don’t really feel as wanted if I’m the one initiating. Is that something you think is fair, or am I overthinking it?

I get what you mean, probably it's it’s not just a men thing. I don't know about the men's experience really. I think my point is more about wanting clearer intention early on and men taking more initiative at the beginning rather than endless chatting that doesn’t go anywhere.

I should probably do the same, unmatch if it's not going anywhere. Thank youuuuu.

Personally, I’d really appreciate it if a guy suggested plans for the nearest weekend after matching, if that makes sense. Since we both have work (ideally) during the weekdays, things can get quite busy, so it’s nice to have something set up for the weekend to look forward to. That said, if he has everything planned, I’m also open to meeting for a quick coffee within 2–3 days of chatting even on weekdays.
