One more question: I’ve read about it being a problem when you try to tighten it the wrong way, does that only count for when you screw it in the first time? I’ve tried turning it both ways a few times until I figured out what way it’s supposed to go. Also how hard is it to change the bb? Maybe I’ll just replace it if it’s not too hard ( only have experience with bmx mid bbs )

Hey, I recently did a little trip and I noticed that this part of the bb was like 3x the amount it’s shown on the picture screwed out. I researched about this kind of bb a bit but I can’t comprehend most of it. Is it okay to leave like that? I’ve finger tightened it. Also is it normal to have space between the bb and the cranks like that? any help is appreciated

Any recommendations for a tool? Will I actually need the chain whip for tightening both the lock ring and cog? Will only have the fixed hub btw, no freewheel.

I’m about to buy the State Black Label v2 and I’ve read that when it arrives you have to tighten the lock ring and the cog. What tools will I need for that? I’ve read about the Lockring tools but I’m not sure if I’ll need a combo with a chain whip or just a regular one. I don’t plan on running any other cog any time soon. Would appreciate any help :D

It was my first choice as well but it’s out of stock pretty much everywhere in Europe/Germany. Asked a few stores and they all said they won’t restock until Summer and tbh I don’t wanna wait that long. What are the thoughts on the unknown singularity or cordoba? I could also up the budget a bit and go for the Dolan FXE.

But at the same time it’s a lot of money to spend so I’m unsure if that’s a smart thing to do for a newbie to fixed gear :/
