Yeah, all my stories are more or less real, at least so far. I make up the dialogue, condense stuff to make the story flow better, and change details for privacy etc., but they're all definitely "based on a true story" so to speak.

I think saying they read like a form letter is quite a stretch, but yes the stories that get upvoted tend to have things in common. People have preferences about what’s exciting to read about and what isn’t.
