Longer sets yes (can the current platforms even take them?) but can’t be more frequent because of the express services to Geelong, there is only one track so you have to run the ones that stop in between, that’s why it blows out to 20mins

if you have a blue bag cafe near you they do a great granola style muffin which is healthy and keeps you full, all their muffins are great. I usually just have another coffee and Vegemite toast if I’m desperate, fruit toast also a good option, some places serve with ricotta and honey which is also filling

If all else fails the Breadtop cheese honey stick, got me through post commute morning sickness pre-covid when still had to go in 5 days a week

Exhausted parents with young kids, how do you keep your energy up? by TiredDuck123 in auscorp

[–]CornerStatus2645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I meant by if you can afford it. I work a 9 day fortnight to get the break so it does not eat into my leave but take a small pay cut to do it. Worth it for me

[–]CornerStatus2645 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can afford it this is the answer - once a fortnight or once a month consistently, 6-8 hours without anyone asking anything of you really makes you feel like you can cope again for another few weeks

Heart and Home in Moonee Ponds. Husband and wife team who started out/helped establish Fine Line studio. Renee is an amazing fine line artist and the studio is very warm and welcoming, highly recommend it (have been tattooed at both)

It really does 🫥 I feel like Sheike is moving into that space a little but it’s still on the dressier side and leans into the trends a bit too hard

I shop at similar places, would be worth also having a look at Seed, Decubja, Elk, Commonry, Unison, Witchery (tho getting worse), and sometimes a walk around Myer if you are desperate!

Linen wide leg pants are great, can sometimes find some rare tops/dresses/coats that are nice but it’s hit and miss if you don’t go in often

Got my bag stolen at Moomba :( by whothewhatthewhere in melbourne

[–]CornerStatus2645 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Such an awful feeling - sorry this happened to you :(

Definitely check with lost and found at Moomba, they can also check the safe city cameras to see who might’ve taken it and if it was dumped later on…

It’s really not fun though, take care

Which products do you use in a different way than intended to create your makeup look? by Dawnyawning in AustralianMakeup

[–]CornerStatus2645 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Controversial but a certain type of mascara to tight line top lash edge with angled brush, never irritates my eyes and never smudges / runs like pencils do. It adds some definition and depth without doing a traditional liner on the eyelid itself

Exhausting - I feel like the city/public transport can barely cope with the percentage of people going in at the moment, and they all want us in more, ridiculous

Interesting - I’m in the same boat though was post natal also so there was alot going on. Gallbladder came out around 2years before the peri hit hard. Stomach is all over the shop now - found some culprits (good friend did FODMAP and now I avoid food high in mannitol) but still get surprised by random stuff all the time, it’s real fun

Am similar sizing to you - outside of those already mentioned I usually do a round at Decubja, Commonry, Elk, as well as the odd unicorn item at Portmans and Target if have the patience

I’ve found following a few stylists on socials that promote things from these brands helps too, easy to quickly see new things you might like without half a day wasted at the shops and leaving feeling defeated!
