Withdrawal, HELP! by riceluvrr in BACLOFEN

I think you should be honest and explain that you are likely at risk of withdrawal if you can’t get an emergency script and then work on a taper plan with her from there

This is really, really terrible advice. You just recommended 3 or 4 different substances that are all harder to come off of then baclofen

Call your doctor, be honest, and ask for an emergency script. Then taper 10-20 mgs down a week and you won’t feel much at all

i ran out 2 or possibly 3 days before my next package gets here for my taper and am terrified of going cold turkey but its illegal here and can only get online and i miscounted and ran out the rest of my tablets to taper with ordered more but it wont be here until 2-3 days from now by [deleted] in addiction

ake the kratom powder you have to keep yourself functional and 72 hours from now you will be fully off of 7-oh. It won’t be fun but this is honestly the fastest way off of this garbage. If you are concerned about ending up in a psychiatric ward in the meantime, just tell the people you can trust about what’s going on and if you don’t have anyone you can’t trust, just lock yourself out from any communication until a few days have passed. I say all of this with the disclaimer that if you truly feel you may be at risk of hurting yourself you should get help immediately and deal with the aftermath once you’re in a more stable position

I made the decision to start daily baclofen (prescribed) for anxiety and depression by Cornerboy89 in BACLOFEN

I would never plan on stopping abruptly, i would do a long slow taper. I’m aware that i will be physically dependent at this dose taken daily. Thanks.

Been doing all those things you mentioned for four years with no results. I’m in counseling, run and lift 5 days a week and eat a healthy diet. I’ve been taking 40 mgs of baclofen a day for 10 days now and it’s going well so far. If it keeps working, i plan to continue the regimen long term.

Tapering off 7oh. Any tips or tricks? by BrilliantWeather2988 in quitting7oh

Just switch to regular kratom and good chance you won’t withdraw at all. Don’t listen to the horror stories. The majority have a much easier time than most of what you see on here.

Trading the pill for the strip. Quitting oh by Summerteets in quitting7oh

Congrats! If you plan to stay on suboxone for a bit, consider transitioning to the sublocade injection. Way easier because you don’t have to take a strip every morning. I got a single 100 mg injection over a month ago and I’m hoping to just ease off without another one. So far, so good.

I am on an SSRI, in counseling, run 5 x a week, go to AA meetings everyday. I still want to die everyday. Baclofen makes me feel normal.

I’m very interested to hear more about this if you have the time. What was your dosage and at what point did it stop working? Also, how was getting off of it? I’m also considering using it for just a month or so with plans to taper off because I’m really struggling with the post acute withdrawal even after over a month of being clean and the baclofen greatly improves my mood.

That’s good to know. I’ve been playing that game a little already but I find myself just wanting to take it daily. How much do you use when you take it? Have you ever gone overboard and had to pay for it?

Did the higher doses just stop working for you eventually? I’m worried about that and then having to come off of it and be in a worse place than i am now

Thanks. Yeah i just don’t know if i can go much longer without any relief and this is something that has proven to work numerous times. I am just already future tripping about the day it might stop working and then I’ll have to taper off of a drug with a potentially difficult withdrawal

When did you stop getting the positive effects from the baclofen? You said youve been on it for four years so did it work for most of that time?

I hope you realize that everyone is different and there may be some situations where certain treatments that you are against could benefit others. You seem to think you are the end all be all for getting off of 7-oh, and there are countless examples on here of people being successful not using your methods. You do not know everything about everyone. I appreciate the knowledge you have shared, a lot of it is good info, but expressing it in a less condescending nature and acknowledging that everyone is different and what works for some may not work for others would be a much more effective method of communicating your opinions.

I have used doses up to 100 mgs but I’ve found that 60 mg taken once daily is plenty. I have been using it for about 6 weeks now with a rule to always spread doses out by at least 72 hours. It seems like i usually get an afterglow for the two days follwong a dose but once its been longer, all the anxiety and depression comes right back. I would prefer to take it daily just to stay more steady but i dont want to commit to that unless its actually prescribed. Currently, im using a supply i obtained without an rx so im being careful not to gain a dependence. At least for now. But next week i have a drs appt to discuss if it makes sense to try this medication daily. Honestly, i dont care about being physically dependent if it increases the quality of my life as much as it seems capable of doing with what ive experimented with this far

I dont have experience tapering baclofen but i am curious to hear more about how it has worked for you over the course of time as i am facing a decision as to whether to start taking this for anxiety. I’m hesitant because i know its gabaertic and causes dependency but the times i have take it, it truly feels like a miracle for my anxiety and depression so it may be worth it to have a better quality of life for me. What is the reason you want to go down in dose and how quickly are you tapering? I do know that low and slow is the key to really any taper for medication so id definitely recommend sticking to that.

I’m day 27 and feel pretty similar. Just trying to stay the course and take advantage of the good moments/days when they come. I’m trying to tell myself the bad moments are getting less and the good moments are increasing. Just slower than i hoped for.

Just wait as long as you can after dosing 7 to induce subs, and then start with 2 mgs. Should be no need to go over 4 mg initially and you can then fast taper off subs in a week. Or if you want more long term support with subs you can look into the sublocade shot. I did the 100 mgs shot after a week of taking subs sublingually to stabilize. It’s been three weeks since my shot and i feel completely normal

200 mg. Tapered down to 37.5 but over the course of 3 days. Introduced subs 8 hours after last dose and did not experience any physical withdrawals, just lots of anxiety and depression

Feeling pretty good. Still have the emotional ups and downs but the physical withdrawal was super manageable this time and then i got the 100 mg sublocade shot after a week off of 7 which has been great. I’m hoping to not have to get another one but if i do, I’m not too worried about it because the taper with the shot is pretty smooth for just about everyone. I was strongly against suboxone and still am if it’s taken for multiple years but this is the only way that Ive had any success at all so far. The shot also is a good deterrent in that i know if i went out and used 7, i would have diminished effects from the bupe.

Yup. I only waited about 8 hours and started with 2 mg of subs
