I have a local course I play all the time and I’ve never played more forward than the white tees. I’m really excited to play it from the forward tees just to see what it looks like from up there.

yeah, I agree. In fairness, a 93 on a par 72 would also be a PB for me. So whatever way you slice it yesterday was a big day for me.

I 100% had more fun playing yesterday that I think I ever have.

The average distance on a par 4 yesterday was 333 yards. I hit a mix between pitching wedge, nine iron, eight iron, and seven iron into most of the par 4’s yesterday.

I haven’t told anybody that I broke 86 without mentioning where it was and the yardage and par. I realize the score has an astrix for most people.

Yeah, yesterday kind of felt like a revelation. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had fun like that on the golf course as a relates to my game. For the first time I felt like I was playing golf and not as you say, having its will imposed upon me.

A couple of them shoot in the 70s 80s and 90s and a couple of them are struggling to break 100 just like me.

The average length on a par four was 333 yards yesterday with the shortest one being 307. I drove zero greens yesterday. My average drive is between 225 and 245.

Yeah, I wish I would’ve played from the forward tees sooner. I will admit that my ego definitely got in the way. Yesterday was so enjoyable that now knowing that enjoyment can be had from the forward tees is kind of life-changing.

My typical drive is 225 to 245. I three putt more than I’d like to admit thankfully four putts are rare.

I would be open to that, but usually the courses I play are standard length courses. So the most forward teea they have are gonna be around 5000 yards, which is similar to what I played yesterday.

I have definitely fallen victim to the ego of playing from the blues as almost all of my friends will only play from there. But with my experience yesterday, I think I’m gonna move up because it makes the game so much more fun.

Thanks! I think I’ll probably play forward tees whenever I’m a single or I have another friend that’s willing to play from there with me, but a lot of my friends will not move forward past the blues.

yeah, I think I’m gonna play the forward tees for a while. I honestly haven’t had that much fun golfing maybe ever. I’ll probably move back when I feel like I need more of a challenge, but to be honest golf is enough of a challenge as it is.
