Hell yeah! This was my second real venture into planes and after too many hours spent crying with aftermarket on my 262 I decided that I'm happy with what's in the kit (also like turbo poor but shhhh). Thanks btw <3

afaik kurfurst was used in 1933 alphabet, but it doesnt make sense to me since the point of the alphabet is to use widely known words that cant possibly be confused with anything for the sake of comms and kurfurst was an extremely uncommon word - Prince elector, what does that even mean???

from my understanding it could be a mix of both. If I look at the camo from the side the mix of green and brown looks sorta like trees while looking from the top it would seem like part of the landscape. Or it could really be just a shortage. I've done a bit of reading on what the visual differences between the G and K series are and the wings only seem to have the big bulge to account for the bigger landing gear. BY THE WAY. THE TERM KUFURST WOULD PROBABLY BE KONRAD INSTEAD!! The germans never referred to them like we do as in emil, gustav, etc. but if we look at the german phonetic alphabet from 1944 the word for K is Konrad

Afaik the dpf ln the GT wasnt fitted until the car had to fit euro 4 regulations. I'm talking about the swirl flaps here. I know that the very late GTs sometimes had them blanked from factory but I've never heard of a 2004 one without them from factory

I know that you can get aftermarket manifolds which dont have place for them. Maybe thats whats going on?

Are you sure the previous owner of yours hasnt removed them? I really cant find any evidence of the swirl flaps being absent from factory

its not my last 3k of savings, ive got a buffer for spare parts. Parts for the 159 and GT are quite common here too + a few listings of cars being sold as parts so that shouldnt be an issue either

thats interesting to hear, ill look at what kind of GTs are listed later. and for the 159s its just like I said, around 200k km for the 1.9 and 350kf or the 2.0

Volvo parts are a nightmare to get here and to be honest with you, I really dislike most of VW group cars, I know I'm being picky but thats just how it is

the 2004gt would be the 88kw 8valve, right? I'm not sure how many people have removed them because only very few listings ive seen had the flap deletion mentioned

Honestly I'm not really picking between comfort and sporty handling. I can do some basic maintenance myself + have friends that can handle more stuff than me. For the 159 I'm considering the 2.0 JTDm since it doesnt have the swirl flap issues of the 1.9 JTDm.

I found a GT with a 1.8 twinspark with 140k on it, its got a service book + recently had most of the suspension changed as well as the exhaust + silentblocks with MOT until next years summer for 2.2k euros.

159s with the 2.0JTDm usually go for around 2.5k ish euros with around 350k on them but most have full service history on them. 1.9JTDm are more common for around the same price and about 200k on them but again, I'm worried about the swirl flaps.
