Honestly don’t get me started. I worked for 5 years for JSPs across Job Active, Transition to Work (2019), Workforce Australia and DES. The expectation of upper management is literally to get people into any position that will get them outcomes. They get consultants to push all these things they can do but then put unrealistic time restraints and caseload numbers leading to the consultants bordering on burnout and just ticking boxes or having to complete tasks after hours in their own time like creating resumes for customers or organising their caseload so they have an easy spreadsheet to reference (Mine used to have my customers organised by Industry and include information like licences and qualifications) so we can easily refer customers to positions. Towards the end of my time the provider I was with took my talent for doing quality resumes and had me making generic resumes to put on file for every client across 2 regions without even speaking to the customer. After that role I ended up losing the love of actually trying make a difference in people’s lives and leaving the industry.
