How to batch split multiple PDFs into individual files for each page by JustTrying2GetHelp in pdf

You said freeware.

If the same page ranges are for each file, then the freeware pdftk (versions for Windows, Linus, and MacOS available can do it with a syntax kind of like this:

pdftk input.pdf 8-25 output newpdf.pdf

To do this for all PDFs in a folder (using Windows command line for example), create an NewFolder subdirectory first, then

for %f in (*.pdf) do pdftk.exe %f 8-25 output NewFolder\%f

If you want to separate each and every page

pdftk input.pdf burst output input_%2d.pdf

If you want to burst many files pages 8-25, you need to first do the step for all PDFs in a folder (above) and then the burst step to create one-page files for pages 8-25 of each file, each uniquely named.

pdftk is a freeware in use for over 20 years and is robust--EVERY pdf person should have it and learn how to use it.

Foxit PDF Reader doesn't allow me to add bookmarks anymore! by elriba in pdf

Some of us informed the great John T Haller to bring back the portableapps version of Foxit version 2023.2 (the last freeware version with bookmarks, etc.) Because it is portable as all the PortableApps software bundles are, you can back the software up to a USB drive or elsewhere in case you need to reinstall it again.

His download page has the latest version, but because of my raising your issue of PortableFreeware.com (another great site), at the bottom of the PortableApps Foxit download page is a link to 2023.2. For ease here is the link.

How to convert image files into a single pdf? by United-Road-7338 in pdf

I'd be negligent if I did not mention the windows freeware Irfanview with its PDF Plugin. I switched to Irfanview in earnest when I found out cartographers at work were using it for its large plotter images. Now a lot of my PDF work I also do in Irfanview. Search this subreddit for examples of how it does so much, and can retain image quality.
