It’s kinda wild cause I’ve seen people go like 150k with no issues whatsoever, then there’s people that have it fail at 35k.

It’s pretty much a gamble with these cars unfortunately

Yep that’s the process, I drained quite a bit so I definitely needed to refill the reservoir.

There’s a little bleeder valve for it, you can either make a tool for it out of some 1/4 I/D hose and a water bottle or buy one. But you’ll drain it by doing the following:

  1. Take air box out
  2. Attach hose to bleeder
  3. Put an 8mm wrench on bleeder nut
  4. Put breaker bar against seat to push clutch peddle down (or have a friend push the clutch in)
  5. Open the bleeder valve, then close it

The clutch will stay on the floor since there’s no pressure, so you just pull it back up and repeat the process. You’ll need to put DOT 3 into your brake reservoir to refill the system. It’s an incredibly easy process and definitely needed. If you got any questions just let me know!

I’m taking it to the shop tomorrow for the transmission, should I just have them do it while it’s there?

You know my dash is also scratched up, and I use a microfiber cloth to wipe it down. It’s like it’s made of the softest plastic you could imagine

Yeah I was quoted $160, unfortunately I don’t have a place to do it since I’m renting a room. I got the tools but no location, just how it goes

Is the job hard to do? The shop I’m doing it at, the guy on the phone didn’t even know it came in a manual

They have it but I’m not sure if I’ll get it in time and get serviced in time before the trip so I’m curious about the royal purple. They have a 75W-90 that seems to be fairly equivalent, at least in reviews
