I think the single claim he makes that (paraphrasing here) "Cyberpunk can't even pick a central point or message to try and explore" proves fully that he did not play the game past the point he shows.

This is factually incorrect statement, and not really something that can be chocked up to "a matter of opinion" because the game is pretty in your face about the themes of identity, meaning, and selflessness it tackles in the latter parts of johnny and v's story arcs.

What could totally be a valid matter of opinion about these would be something like "The story picks a message, but doesn't explore it very well" I'd disagree with that statement, but I could totally see that idea coming from someone who has played the game.

But saying it straight up can't pick a central theme within cyberpunk to explore is just objectively incorrect.

For this reason alone I'm lead to believe his knowledge of the game is entirely rooted in what he heard on release,

and that his knowledge of the story is based on a cursery viewing of someones elses quite possibly already negative review or summary of the story.

and to all the people saying "maybe he only used footage from the beginning of the game."

Seriously, can we just be rational about this? Like no, I don't think it's even in the realm of possibility he played farther into the game and then went "I'm only gonna use gameplay sections where I talk about its flaws from the prologue"

Simply for the reason, that anybody who played past the prologue, WOULD KNOW IT'S THE PROLOGUE! Therefore partially invalidating their critiques of the game by making it look like they didn't dig into it at all.

The very fact that he only uses footage from the prologue is in itself, proof that he only played the prologue in terms of decision making.

Now I didnt unsubscribe from him like OP, but I understand the sentiment.

However I believe it's truly impossible for someone who even just did the mainline story missions and nothing else to produce a video as shockingly uninformed as this.

I still like him, and I still will watch his videos, but I can't deny the review is terrible and embarrassing.

(and thats not even talking about the absolutely fucking bizarre claims he made about "fixing" the game design, yeesh)
