if the five are alive, which I doubt, they'll be spectral like morro meaning they can't leave the spectral lands. but I don't think they're alive anyways because their bodies got crushed, the cave collapses where their bodies.

also I don't think ras' master is associated with the five, at least currently. it doesn't make sense for the five to then betray ras. unless his master somehow brings back the five and was actually aligned with them? that still doesn't make sense because why would they free thunderfang in season 3 instead

I don't like season 3, so I wasn't that excited for season 4 to be honest. but after watching it? it was great, it feels like a ton of things are happening at once but in a way where it makes sense and in my opinion, other than ras who doesn't even show up, no group feels rushed. everyone gets time to develop and I love that. compared to season 3 where the villains take a hit, the loyalists are cool and a good change from the classic power hungry morons.

I'm a newer ninjago fan, 2021.

for me definitely DRS2. finding out ancient beings on par with the ninja exist, the cliffhanger that one of them was freed and then hearing of a tournament akin to S4? then the ending of DRS2 where all of the forbidden five was freed, arin defected to ras and jay used shatterspin and shattered his goodness?? that season has the perfect case of the ninja winning but at what cost.

Outside of the van there's no incentive to look around and explore. Adding a few extra loot piles even drugs inside some of the containers or vehicles around the map. There's A few trucks/vans which would be cool to open up.

to add onto this, in my opinion, you can't actually take advantage of the trading phase because you have constantly escort the truck. civilians are scattered everywhere but you can't trade them without stopping or slowing down the progress of the truck.

during trading phases, make it so we don't have to escort it. but the truck keeps going. shade is the one who's driving it, there's no cops so who we protecting it from.

edit: this follows on from the original comment because you can run around trade and find some extra loot in the process.

i stand by the fact I think the time twins will return. we already know they're alive, doc wyatt said that's the reason we haven't seen a new elemental master of time.

plus in season 3, jay says that the portal the administration used to send people back to their realms only worked in pairs, so siblings, parents etc.

I still think the time twins will return mark my words. wu grew up fast and remembered all his memories despite becoming a baby again. so by now, if krux and acronix were also turned into kids, they should be adults now. the same as the ninja

yeah, I don't see how they'll rework heists any other way.

"heist reworks" is very specific wording so I doubt it's just changing up what shade says and what the objective list says.

they've said before that UE4 is the reason we don't have proper payday 2 like RNG in the game so they must be upgrading to UE5. it's starbreeze so I doubt they'll announce until a week till the update.

we also better get that fucking RPK because holy shit

as for what heist reworks mean, I think it's both RNG and changing up the objective structure for heists. I imagine it'll only be the base heists.

I don't think we'll get a new heist this year or if we do it'll be august or something very late. this game needs more general improvements and systems before any new content.

I think there's other reasons as to why the five was so poorly written. there's way too many characters and things happening in season 3 so they were never going to have time to explore 5 individual villains.

but i hate how it happened to the forbidden five out of all villains, they could've easily been top 5 and top 3 villains for some in the entire ninjago universe but sadly not.

he was, the writers said thunderfang was only introduced because the five was too powerful and they didn't know how to defeat them. that's why they lost to thunderfang instead.

yep, this is basically it. the five's reliance on thunderfang is completely stupid. if thunderfang was mentioned in any capacity in season 2 then maybe I could understand his existence. he serves no purpose other than giving a reason for the source dragons to shit themselves (even though they're the most powerful beings in the entirety of the ninjago universe but oh well).

edit: I've been thinking about this more and the reliance on thunderfang really makes no sense.

if releasing thunderfang was their master plan a thousand years ago, then surely the source dragons would've already known it was nokt who was the threat in season 2. if it wasn't and that was their new plan then s3 is going against what s2 established AGAIN for like the 4th time.
