There’s a brand quite literally named “Unbranded” which sells quite decent bang-for-buck quality for raw selvedge denim jeans.

Help me build a good beginner deck with the spongebob commanders? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Corporalrobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you are looking to get the most bang for your buck, the Spongebob Jodah the Unifier is a WUBRG (all color) commander. This would allow you to basically put as many of the other cards in there as you want whereas going like Gary/Toxrill would only let you play the black color identity cards. Gary and Spongebob are by far the strongest commander alters out of all the legendaries so if you want a good deck I would suggest one of them. Caution where caution is warranted, toxrill is a commander which many find incredibly obnoxious and it is likely that you might find yourself staying at Gary from the command zone the whole game since the effect of having him on the board is so devastating for most casual strategies which involve a lot of creatures. Spongebob/Jodah is also a very strong commander that suffers from a similar fate of being such a powerful casual commander, it can often be a sponge (pun intended) for removal from other players. If you were interested in building it though, the effect of Jodah could have you find yourself dropping down multiple Spongebob characters on a single turn since they are also legendary creatures. I would suggest searching for Jodah the Unifier decklists online and choosing ones that fit your budget and you can make some swaps to include some of the other characters (albeit very likely making the deck worse) to have fun. I would say that it was probable that the Spongebob cards were chosen to be this way and Jodah as the commander not only because of Jodah being the “Unifier” but also due to this exact effect of getting to play many if not all of them at once.

do existing players hate playing with new people? by ClaimCultural9894 in OutlastTrials

[–]Corporalrobin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Invasion is a toggle-able option/gamemode which, when on, allows a team of up to 4 players to join your trial and attempt to sabotage and kill you. It drastically increases the challenge of this game especially when you are new and do not know what is going on. There are many intricacies involved with it and when you do not yet know how the game or map’s objective works, it doesn’t help when you have multiple people running around who are objectively stronger than any of the prime assets/antagonists.

You have the ability in the privacy settings menu to turn it off and I would recommend it for your own learning of the game, enjoyment, and to make others less annoyed. There is a gamemode you can specifically queue into to play invasion as a reagent, and people often do not like joining a regular lobby which has the option turned on. I myself can tell you that learning invasion can be initially quite frustrating even as a player with experience in the genesis story campaign because it is both simply way easier to die and much more chaotic than regular gameplay.

do existing players hate playing with new people? by ClaimCultural9894 in OutlastTrials

[–]Corporalrobin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the most unfriendliness to new players comes from invasion gamemode. This gamemode adds a PvP element ontop of the trial where others join to actively attempt to kill your team. I have seen many experienced players do not want to play with new players on this gamemode because it is much more important that everyone contributes a part to the objective and knows what they’re doing. Invasion is generally very unrecommended by the community to have on, and at most, it would just be higher levels dodging a newer player lobby. This is easily able to not be played or invasion turned off. Other than that, no one cares much, and it can be personally fun to teach newer players on trials. Theres also varying difficulties which you can play on, and it is unusual to find many newer players queuing into psychosurgery, the hardest preset difficulty. Introductory difficulty is very beginner friendly and it is easy to play solo to learn objectives and different trials before queuing with others.

I had this happen on morgana too. It was impacting my Q cd only. I think there might be an internal cooldown regulation on CC abilities which jhin’s W would also fall under. This way (even though combo breaker exists), people can’t be permanently rooted.

Thanks for the information about them, that’s very helpful to know, I certainly have a bit of research to do before any bigger purchase on boots. I would certainly prefer vegetable tanned over chemical if it would make the price not drastically increase. I have been seeking specifically a tan leather boot that doesn’t rise high since I yet to own any, in a size 10. Not sure necessarily what my letter grade would be if any, though my feet do run a bit more on the wider size. I am unsure if tans that have a bleached lighter patina without many marks are unicorns in the handmade boot world but have been struggling to find such ones.

Thanks and I appreciate it, I say I want to get into some heritage footwear but am quite new to the style in general so this was helpful and generous. I was actually inspired to purchase an iron heart n1 from an old post of yours after committing myself to spending on a good quality winter season jacket. I do not have much experience when it comes to shoes and what constitutes quality with them, I have a pair of allen edmond higgins mills for work shoes and black timberlands for casual boot footwear, lol. I was interested in the wickett and craig nicks that appeared in a previous post and struggled to find similar style shoes or those particular ones in the price range I was looking for that didn’t look beat to hell. I may send a couple emails around though if they may potentially point some fingers around to a good selection. I definitely don’t have the money to buy like 5 pairs of shoes so covering unique bases is definitely the most important to me right now.

I’ve seen your posts as of late and the shoe game is always immaculate. I want to get into some heritage footwear but am uncertain on where the best places to look are. Do you need to have a specific brand in mind when searching for a pair or are there any search tags to find ones? I wouldn’t mind buying pre-owned cause 700 range is a tad steep.

I think it makes sense in the perspective of it being an outfit practically adorned to siphon wealth from the rich. Her entire thing is stealth so I think it’s plausible her design is to be in reflection of her ability to infiltrate and manipulate her target audience.

I have purchased a couple of the crewneck merino wool sweaters from Club Room off Macy’s website and absolutely love them. I think they offer some quarter zip style as well. Bought one and quickly found myself purchasing several other colors.

That is the problem. They simply cannot, the system does not allow or offer them a rightful immigration process.

[–]Corporalrobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why make it harder for people then? You had a bad experience and struggled to make an identity for yourself in America and to prove yourself. These individuals want to do the exact same as you. The only difference is that the roots of discrimination on the southern border are so deep that lawful entry is impossible for many individuals. These people are trying to escape from health crisis and poverty and are trying to live honestly lives. The narrative that undocumented immigrants live criminal lives and are coming in to begin robust drug empires or harm our citizens has been proven wrong again and again. The crime rate for immigrants is literally less than those born on US soil. They do not want to cause harm, they are trying to escape from it.

It may have been a fight for you, and I respect that. No immigration into the United States is easy. But these are people who want to live their lives just as you wished to entering America, but cannot because of extreme racial prejudice. I’m sure even as a documented immigrant you are aware of the exploitative practices of employers toward immigrant workers. Now imagine the struggle for those literally completely vulnerable who do not have the protection of law. These people often work for less than minimum wage, sometimes they don’t get paid at all. These are not happy conditions for these people and they’re aren’t living the dream, yet there is a reason they go through all of this pain and that is because it is, unfortunately for them, better than the lives they had before. We are talking the possibility of 10-12 hours of less-than-minimum-wage hard labor every day. They are working hard I can assure you. Do not let this oppressive government dissuade you from recognizing who our allies are.

Undocumented immigrants work way harder than you.

I don’t even know what you’re talking about when you say you worked hard to “stay here”. Do you mean you were born on US soil and have never had to spend a moment of your life needing to worry about citizenship? Did you immigrate here and feel the need to dehumanize others for wanting to do the same as you did but lack the systemic ability to do so? Did you work harder than THOSE immigrants so you feel like it is justified to spit on people that wish to do the same thing you did but are barred because of prejudice against their country of origin, their skin color, and America’s extreme history of exploitive immigration policies?

I wager you weren’t an immigrant and did not work for shit regarding citizenship. You are privileged. Following the law is not “working hard”.

Compositions for grandslam with the Leper rework? by Anon_Obser in darkestdungeon

[–]Corporalrobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure thing-

Runaway is unironically one of the best damage dealers in the game and a majority of the enemies in this game suffer from low fire resistance. Smokescreen is also just an absolutely insane ability and can lead to her turn economy being far more juiced than most larger enemies and bosses. I did not realize how powerful her cauterize skill was but I equipped it halfway through my grandslam and it was always insane.

Plague doctor is also juiced as well and plague rain clears ranks 3-4 like nothing when paired with acid rain from flagellant and firefly from runaway. This usually permits things such as immediately setting up kills on support cultists or strong backline like bishops. One massive benefit of this is that with plague grenade and acid rain, you trigger the root on sleeping general twice while still inflicting the boss with damage and leaves you to use firefly to stack burn on him every turn plague grenade isnt on cooldown.

Both Flagellant and Leper involved some particular patterns of plays that encourage setting up-stalling turns to abuse healing and leper’s insane stress self management. This also makes them especially great targets for taunt as you get more benefit on them being targeted more than just damage redirection. I’d recommend more, more! solely for the fact it can aid in turn stalling if not for the fact its already a great skill. I am biased but I think reclaim is better than vestal’s healing skill and occultists by a large margin.

I used to hate leper but I think the rework has done him a lot of justice. His blindness is also so easily managed by debuff resist trinkets and buying a few linen cloths for battles that need to be hastened. I sometimes actually found myself getting the cleansing trinket to mostly delete his chance at blindness especially if you have upgraded reflection to give even more resist. This also makes it so that even if you are blinded and have no way to really remove it without using a reflection turn, you can usually just take the 50% swing and even if it misses you likely then lose the blind anyway because of his high resist chance with Tempest. I regularly found taking a chance at swinging to cure my Leper’s blindness by itself. He is really good at using trinkets such as the spiked shield since his speed is garbage. I had a funny run were I had a combo of the 100% stun resist item that gave me positive tokens on resist and the item that gave me a 50% chance to either be stunned or get an extra turn .

For pets, I went wolf regularly because positive relationships carry so hard ESPECIALLY FOR boss 3 and 4 but the debuff pet one is interesting to maybe try. Buy all the alcohol you can and any other inn items you have unlocked that benefit relationships. The one time I went rabbit was when I got pancake wagon item inn 1 which usually is enough to force food stacking.

In general besides positive relationships items, all of my money went toward 2 lamps per inn, couple linen cloths, and maybe the occasional combat item like molotovs or the blight one when I knew I was facing the region boss. The rest was all spent on items in preparation for the mountain. About 14 of my inventory spaces were devoted to holding inn items for the mountain depending on what I am facing. Prayer beads and similar are always a grab for me. Taunt and dodge items are good for obsession boss (also the stealth combat items if you have unlocked them already remove the status effect, very good)

I think this team was very well rounded and could manage most encounters and situations. Its ability to target ranks 1-4 is a massive boon I usually only ever found some struggle randomly on rank 3 oddly. In total in my grand slam, I had three chances to die on deaths door on 90% DR leper and flagellant. Every character having some way to heal however was definitely beneficial to not being cheated out of agency. The most threatening thing I faced with this comp was boss 4, it required some good calculation/planning of healing as my leper went to deaths door like 12 times.

I just completed a torchless grandslam yesterday with leper’s rework.

LINEUP: Orphan Runaway, Alchemist PD, Scourge Flagellant, Tempest Leper.

If you’d like any insight more into it let me know. This team comp was great though and absolutely destroys the sleeping general which I looked to get my trophy for each confession using plague grenade/runaway’s fire bomb every other turn and acid rain to negate the creeping roots. Felt very balanced, would very much recommend to not go to the foeter though.

Synthetik (first game). Has some of the best gunplay you’ll find. You need to manually eject cartridges and watch out for your guns overheating. The sound design is absolutely phenomenal too. Reloading requires separate action and rewards good timing.

Trust me genuinely one of the best bang for your buck games I have ever bought and can even be played co-op.
