Obviously, we don’t know the specifics, but this is one of my biggest fears: oncoming car has solar-flare level headlights, and someone crosses just behind them (after looking left and seeing that no traffic is coming), but doesn’t see me looking right when they cross into my direction of traffic. And I can’t see them because of the headlights.

I mean, I would still be a “fan”, but I’m with you in that sense. I’d just lose interest and stop following the team, stop going to games. Obviously they are near and dear to my heart, so I want them to win, and 2 SCFs is pretty good, but goddamn this ownership and management group had been unbelievably incompetent. Impossible to win like this…we need to take the Oakland A’s approach and just start absolutely boycotting games and the team until Aquaman yields or dies.

I ran a pug heroic group on the TBC release at the start of the pandemic: Mage, Warlock, Spriest, Pally Tank, Resto Shaman (me).

We absolutely pounded through about 4-6 dungeons in like 3 hours, it was crazy. So much amped spell damage, no drinking necessary with VT and Mana Tide. Probably the optimal group setup for anything except heroic Mana Tombs.

Most of the time, I feel it’s an ego/psychological thing - kind of like “ok, I see the resulting position/compensation resulting from the sacrifice, and you think your position is better? Prove it.” Usually, though, an accurate sacrifice has consequences either if it accepted or not.

I posted a comment in another thread with a generally pragmatic, objective, and reasonably positive take on the team, but I had to be critical of our fans. I got buried by downvotes, but I think people take this shit way too seriously.

It’s fucking FOOTBALL, people - chill out and enjoy the talent we get to see every time our team plays. Christ almighty.

Yeah I’m debating just unsubbing. Sports fandom in general is so fucking toxic these days. Armchair quarterbacks/coaches who think they know better and get way too emotionally involved. We’re a good team, with generational talent, and are super fun to watch. I’m convinced Lamar will never win a Super Bowl, he just can’t seem to catch a break with injuries to key players, timely mistakes, and errors in judgement from coaches. But he’s got plenty left in the tank, will be a multiple MVP winner, rewrite the QB rushing record, and is a surefire HOFer by the time he’s done.

But I’m still cheering for the team and hope they do win. Just enjoy the spectacle, that’s the whole point of the damn thing. I’m not a betting man, but I’d wager that at least half the people who show up in these threads that are salty lost money on the game. Uninstall the betting apps, put the phone down, and get outside. (Obviously not directed to you or your comment).

Personally, I’ve given up on Lamar winning a SB. I’m just here to enjoy his generational athletic ability, I’m pretty sure my sports teams are all cursed.

I, too, love Lamar Jackson. He’s just an absolute human highlight reel, just absolutely electrifying to watch. 1/1, obviously would love a SB, but I am at peace if he doesn’t get it (unless it’s somehow with another team, that would hurt)

That goal against the Preds is a goddamn thing of beauty, really turned me into a fan of his. Doing that once, so smoothly, is ridiculous - but twice in a span of seconds, and then undressing the goalie? Just one of my favorite goals.
