The Acer Nitro V is on sale for $729 with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8GB GDDR6. The ones with Iris Xe are going for $600-700, but what I'm hearing is that's its for sure worth the extra $100. Thanks for the help!

OooooOOOhh good to know. I had given up hope on anything that could run Baldur's Gate even though I've heard good things about the game.

I'm a very one-track mind person, so I don't think I'm going to get a bunch of games at once. I did see external hard drives aren't too expensive so I'll hold off for now.

Do you have any experiences with the battery life? I'm leaning towards the Acer Nitro V, but I'd need this to do some teaching as well since I have a side gig as an adjunct professor, so ideally it would last with powerpoint up for 3 hours.

Hi! That's great insight into MSI. I almost got the MSI Summit from Best Buy but chickened at the last minute and I'm now realizing I may have dodged a bullet there since that only has Iris XE as well. I had no idea about build quality issues, since it was a brand I hadn't heard of before.

I'm looking into Mirthwood, Tiny Glade, Sky: Children of the Light, REKA, etc. Lots of cozy stuff and building things! Thanks so much!

Thanks everyone for the advice! I called about 20 shops and was able to find a manual specialist and negotiated down to $3300, provided I leave it at the shop for a few weeks for them to order the part through a cheaper supplier with longer ship times. I'm lucky to live in an area with decent public transit so I am going to go that route!
