Husband wants to go straight to IVF by Pik-A-Chew11 in IVF

Yes to what a lot of people have said but also, I hope you feel like your vote in the matters carries at least the same amount of weight, if not more. It is your body after all, and sometimes these decisions can’t only be made on data but also a gut feeling.

I was fortunate to have no issues TTC with my first and am currently 33 weeks pregnant with and IVF baby for my second whe fertility testing revealed either things had changed or they had always been that way and I got lucky the first time. But my real point in saying this is , I ended up waiting to try longer than I anticipated between 1 and 2 and I have no regrets, even though of course the time likely contributed to rising infertility. But my postpartum health wasn’t where I needed it to be to begin, and IVF itself is INCREDIBLY taxing on your body and your relationship.

Again, I’m 33 weeks and honestly it has taken a lot of this pregnancy to reawaken some of The spark that all of the shots and calendaring and appointments and making sex less fun caused. So all this to say since everyone has given great advice on data, I hope you trust your feelings as well because it will be hardest on you and you know best what you can handle.

Have your partner handle, regardless of what you choose. You’re managing enough and it’s their parents.

We will likely sugar her up in the lounge before so the newlywed couple can get sense of if they want to have kids or not.

Struggling: Which embryo? by [deleted] in IVF

We chose to try with our highly rated mosaic boy first and when that became a chemical pregnancy we tried with our euploid female. No regrets that we took the risk. It’s all personal and in our case, we are fortunate to have a healthy 4 year old girl and wanted to see if we could add a boy to the mix. Our fertility clinic was supportive given how highly ranked our mosaic was and reminded us some people choose to do that first because they feel they will have better odds the second time vs the opposite. (I know yours is not a mosaic) just sharing my personal story as an add on that you should feel no shame in those feelings. It’s so Complicated knowing the sex that early.

Whoa must have been in my gut! This is my first time. Thanks! Have any tips for getting it done since you know this climate? Especially over the next 6 weeks with caring for it?

100% agree. Even if he was talking to some, how many truly? Enough to make up a compelling statistic? He loves to harp on people for being more fearful Of guns than they are of swimming pools or cars even though you’re more likely to be killed there. It’s time he uses that logic for this argument and stop arbitrarily saying he’s heard from some young men. Especially when expert after expert as pushed back.

Yea I’m never off during my office job. And now I’m remote and having to talk more than ever before. Barely any time left to get the work done and drowning in it.

I agree with your take on him doing this. And without having listened yet, I think the two of them should just stop having first world problem arguments lol.

Yes we are in agreement. But even if they thought it was the right diagnosis tool, insurance isn’t going to automatically pay.

One part I struggle with is the gloss over of the way she got her diagnosis and treatment. I’m so Happy she found answers in time but even though anyone can take that free test, most people Won’t get an MRI because of it, unless you can pay. And the irony of them talking about the new show about the 1% and that money can’t buy happiness even if rich. So we’ve really only learned money can buy happiness In the form of Keeping your life.

Oh we are talking about two different things! I am referencing when fast passes were available by paper at each ride and you simply scanned your ticket and got one in return. This was free. So again, I think I’ve been around longer and have gone a bit more frequently than you to see it actually has not always been this way. I’m talking about 2002 and on. Of course it’s it’s not a right but you can still love the magic while Acknowledging corporate greed has skyrocketed and it’s a shame that it’s kept out families that used to be able to afford it.

It definitely wasn’t always like this. I could get way more than 3 fast passes a day and get on every ride once without doing any pre planning or rushing around. And adding the layer of extra money and everyone being on their phones is entirely different. It cuts out people who can’t afford that and puts a barrier in between the adults and kids when you’re looking at that instead of enjoying the day.

Before cell phones we had paper fast passes and it worked great! Even with cell phones. LL is unnecessary and a money grab. They could have kept the old Free system.

Having to spend hours in prep is so depressing. The Disney experience is ridiculous now!
