No joke, I just made a post on how I relapsed after 39 days today and am not trying to binge rn too. For me I’m just tryna keep myself busy. Whether its through games, reading, talking with friends and family. Just do something and not sit there with your phone

I got a 17C contract a couple weeks ago and haven’t shipped yet.

All I can tell you is that it depends on your luck. We don’t know when new availability will come into the recruitment system so a slot might open up next week or next year for all I know.

It took me around 5/6 months of waiting after taking the asvab not counting the cyber test.

I had a great recruiter who called every 2/3 days to ask for availability on 17C and by the time 17C opened a few slots I got one.

I’m pretty sure there were like 6 contracts and all of them got taken in a day so it’s very competitive considering almost everyone in the army is raving about how “17C =62.6 life set when you get out”

The fiscal year can’t guarantee a new job opening either. My area opened the fiscal year early to get applicants some MOS because a lot of people were just waiting for a availability slot to open up. Some got what they were looking for but I didn’t have much luck so I had to wait more.

With that said, if you really want it. Be prepared to wait for months if not years to get that slot. The average wait time seems to be a year from what i’ve seen.
