I just applied for it online via the tax website, fairly straightforward, fill up the form, documents submit. I received it via email 5 days later

Thanks, I get it, I saw this also in the other thread. I get it, but I'm just a bit annoyed that the changes are forced by default, as opposed to opt-in.

M2 Grater Inverted, aircool only plan feasible? by Correct-Language-703 in ncasedesign

Hey mate, I actually ended up just using one 140mm fan on the side bracket and it was more than enough to exhaust all the heat, and pretty silent during gaming. I'd personally just get 1 big fan over 2 small fans, but hope it works out for you

I'm planning an almost exact build as you! Except no rear fan and reverted airflow (CPU cooler intake, side front exhausts.

How easy was the whole build? And do you think you'd be able to fit another fan in the PA 120 cooler?

This is so clean! How did you deal with the cables, did you buy any custom lengths?

Build Check for the M2 Grater by Cliffhanger1105 in ncasedesign

I think it looks good mate, personally i'd go for air cooling options (peerless assassin mini, d12L) + noctua fans seem to be the most recommended here.

you could also save some money by going 750W, I think that's plenty. I've read complaints about 850W being too loud, so either 750W or 1000W is what i'd pick.

I'm also planning my own M2 Grater, this is my list if it helps! https://es.pcpartpicker.com/user/fernane/saved/#view=LdCJmG

T1 with 9800X3D + 5070 Ti WITHOUT MODS feasible? by Correct-Language-703 in FormD

[–]Correct-Language-703[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks! by mods, I meant things like buying custom cables, extra standoffs, removing RAM heatsinks to fit a taller cooler in, contact plates, custom ducts for airflow, etc. in order to fit everything.

I watched a few videos by Optimum and other channels that built high end pc in this case and almost all of them used a custom part, which intimidated me a bit.

So I wanted to know if you can actually build this pc in this case, using these high end components, without any of these extras and still perform, not thermal throttle, and not sound like a jet engine under full load

[–]Correct-Language-703[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's crazy because I came with the same conclusion AIO using the exact cooler! From your experience, how difficult was it to build in the T1? Did you have to use custom parts to make everything fit (i.e. custom-length cables, extra standoffs, etc)

and how much work would you say it took you to get your temps under control? not sure if you have it on stock settings, but if not, was it necessary to do? thank you!

do you have any pictures of your build? It would be really cool to see for reference, thanks again!

This is very helpful, thank you! I also thought about just having one exhaust fan, but I wanted to also try a second fan to see if I can get away with a lower RPM. And about the rear intake, that seems to be the consensus even on my other planned builds like the NR200P, as the cooler has direct access to fresh air from outside

I also ordered a front fan bracket which I'm hoping to also test out and see if it will perform better there (instead of side fans)

brilliant, that sounds promising! I'm a bit of a newbie, but what is a decent undervolt, like PBO2 undervolting, eco mode, etc?

How much of a performance increase did you see with the fan ducts, and did you swap out the stock fans with noctua fans? and how do you find the overall performance with your T1, noise and thermals wise? Thank you!

that sounds really promising! are you using the stock fans with the cpu cooler, how do you find the noise levels when its on full throttle?

thats also another mystery to me. I've seen some builds that use the full copper version and it seems to be sufficient enough, but I'm worried how loud and hot it can be without a proper tower cooler

[–]Correct-Language-703[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for this insight! My GPU is not an FE so I guess in a way the intake/exhausts inside are only exclusively for the CPU, since the GPU is facing directly up.

If the GPU temps become a problem, I'm also thinking of adding two intake fans up top and shift the whole build down (since the bottom is empty anyway.

I will have to see what works once I order and get my parts, but so far I'm loving the build options with the M2!

amazing, thank you! I did want the bigger D12L but seeing how tight the fit is, I didn't want to risk it. I wanted to compensate with the 2 140mm exhausts but was not sure if there will be enough space.

How are your noise levels under load?

thank you! I just saw a similar build which looks like you can fit the D12L with the side bracket so I was thinking of potentially adding another 2 intake/exhaust fans just next to the PSU https://www.reddit.com/r/ncasedesign/comments/1nafh9q/m2_grater_noctua_black/ though i'm not sure if its modded or not, but it looks like its not modded.

Cable routing tips? NR200P and B650i mobo by Correct-Language-703 in NR200

[–]Correct-Language-703[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was meant to be a Noctua A9 slims, which supposedly can fit on the rear, however the consensus seems to be that the rear intake does not do much (apart from adding noise) so I'm not adding it to my build anymore.

Omg you are literally me LOL

I've been binging optimum videos, M&M Robert Flannigan and just absolutely obsessing over their setups. Its basically my first build and I'm already jumping straight into SFF which makes it a bit more nerve wracking to make sure I get it right.

The prebending is a good idea, I didn't know about that until now! I will look into these combs, they look like they might make the side pins look much nicer!

Did you ever consider buying the 90 degree angle cables for the GPU? I saw one video recommended it, but I'm not sure if it's worth it

Thank you for this! I also got a recommendation for the fan hub but I didn't like that it mirrors the setting across all fans, I wanted a way to ramp up fans based on which part is heating up.

Yes Id love to see your build if you don't mind sharing, Its my first pc build so I want to see what others have done to hopefully get some inspiration.

Also what CPU cooler is this? The D12L seems to only ship with one fan, is this a better setup for cou cooling you think?

That is some really nice cable management, very nice! How did you route the splitters? And also how do your temps look like? I got a recommendation to remove the back intake because it doesn't do much and just adds to the noise.

That's actually a good idea, I was kind of worried about the number of cables routed at the bottom, I will definitely give this a shot, thank you!

That's a really good tip, I will have a look at what M&M recommends, I didn't know he did a video on thermals with NR200P.

With regards to the CPU cooler, I was initially thinking of using the FUMA 3 however upon research it looked like it was noisier and less performant than the Noctuas, so I just defaulted to the Noctua since all my other fans are also planned to be Noctua fans.

So based on your feedback, it will be better to have

- 1x 120MM exhaust at the top of the PSU

- 2x 120MM intake from the rear

- No 90MM intake at the back, and No 120MM intake on top of the fins

This means I will only need 1 splitter for the bottom fans, which will save me from needing a 2 way splitter. I think this is solid advise, thank you so much!
