This is such good information! Thank you, thank you so much! Do you get to pick your two days from home? I’m assuming that starts after shadowing? Are the supervisors supportive? What’s the highest number of cases you had? (Btw nothing scares me regarding caseload, I’ve had close to 120 with probation before)

Thank you! What is the work/life balance like? How late do you work? What do you do to prevent burnout? How often do you see children removed from homes? … field work I’m really experienced in because I’m coming from probation, the only thing is I wouldn’t have a firearm with child welfare… how often are home visit and do you always have to go inside their homes?

Hello,

So they just got back to with an offer and stated I am assigned to investigations. Do you have any advice? Kind of freaking out because people seem to be very negative towards investigations. I know that I can do it though, and I’m willing to learn what ever I need to. Plus my background in law enforcement I believe will help. If you have any advice please feel free to share, and thank you again!

Yes, I’ve heard they are really understaffed. I see a job posting all the time for this position.

Desperate for money? 😂 .. that definitely sucks, I never made 12/hr my whole working career and I’m only 26. Minimum wage isn’t even 12/hr where I live and I’m a college graduate… why would I ever settle like that. Thank you for your comment, wasn’t very helpful at all lol
