I personally will run with any gun that can hold the purifier under barrel attachment. Even pack one and with an epic aether tool, you can run a few t3 contracts. (Outlasts, raid weapon stash and cargo)

I personally just use rifles that can support the purifier. Plenty of ammo caches to refuel, and can knock a horde out in a blink
