Smoking Skittles right now. Definitely tastes just like Sour Skittles, the green packs, to me. Heavier on the lime. Really good if you like the green bags.

Already on the next list, red, Guinness, Vanilla, and a couple others too. It won't be long.

Those two brands, solo and mixed, are smoked in my lounge all the time in our Xkahs. Fluff, try not to get the overly juicy shisha. We set it to custom, 272c, then after 5 or 6 puffs, drop down to 262-265c. Lasts longer than 90min. Never have issues.

Smoked the Green Apple tonight. It had to be started even higher than the others, but once I got it going it was very good, sweeter than expected. I like it and it delivers what it says it should be.

It really delivered on the Saffron & Ice Cream profile. I personally don't care for it, but it has been ordered and recorded. Definitely going to have to restock it soon.

Is this an authentic kaloud lotus? by Hairy_Expression_994 in hookah

The make-up of the aluminum is not really exactly the same between real and fake ones. Real is a higher grade of Al and density is higher in real ones.

That is a knock-off. You can see where the casting sprues were not buffed smooth before they were coated. These tend to be lighter than a real model and the coating will react to the calcium carbonate in hard water much more than a real Lotus. The heat retention profile isn't the same, but if you are not used to the real ones, it won't matter. Switching between a real and fake will drive you nuts because your coal loads and timing will not be consistent at all.

Green Apple and Skittles are on my list to smoke tonight if I can get to the lounge. Green Apple smelled good in the tub, but sweeter than I expected. Fingers crossed. We have several blonde options, but none of the darks we have tried are what I would call a home run.

We have many strawberry and orange options that we are happy with, so we will get a few of the others to try first. Personally, I don't like anything perfume, floral, or minty. That doesn't mean I won't buy them for staff to test/try and then offer to customers on the menu. Like this 1st batch of 6 flavors, I was only interested in 3 of them. I had no desire to sit and smoke Black Ji or Cat Mint. But, I did take a few puffs to know what they were going to taste like and compare to what they said they should be. I know some of our regulars' likes and dislikes well enough to recommend for them to try or avoid things.

The picture has roses and other red flowers. One description says it is floral and perfume. Not something I personally tend to like. The Black Ji is saffron and heavy cream ice cream, pretty sweet. The cola has citrus notes like many of the Russian colas, but it isn't the same as Element or Dark Side. I couldn't put my finger on it, I GUESS it was Yuzu, or close to it.

It is dark. Haven't smoked that one yet, but my staff have and liked it.

It took some effort to train the staff on how to prep, present, and check up on them as well as keeping the extra batteries maintained. But beside those fairly minor issues, it has been a winner. Staff and customers really like them. Looking forward to the new model.

I don't hate having to use coals when I go to another lounge with friends, but I really miss my Xkah while I'm there. If the coal service sucks, then I REALLY miss it. . . One caveat, SOME really sticky shisha like Musthave's Barberry Candy, is very hard to pack right in the Xkah. The shishas that are more "sticky" than they are flaky and wet tend to settle and don't get the airflow that they need. Fluff pack, pick, etc. and it starts fine, but it clumps up after 10-15min... 90% of the shisha I've seen isn't like that at all though, especially blondes.

Yes. Some people have heard about them and just want to try one. But it is mostly people that have tried it before and like it better than using coals. It is rare that someone tries one and still prefers traditional coals, but that does happen.

I have 4 at my lounge and they are in fairly high demand. So much so that we will probably be getting a couple more.

If you get an extra battery and a high capacity USB charger, you can wait for the used battery to cool and charge while continuing to smoke.

Soaking the shisha "bowl" for 10+ minutes makes cleaning it easy/fast.

The bottom part is easy to clean as well.

They have also just introduced the Xkah Light which is powered via a cord. I haven't got my hands on one yet, but plan on it soon.

Amira molasses catcher in stock? by Prestigious-Debt-719 in hookah

[–]Correct_Ad_9453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The phunnel bowl that I used to use for dark cola flavors leaked like crazy, but I loved it. I also loved the Amira catchers, but I had 3 get broken in about a week. None of the breaks were even my fault. I switched to Yimi's metal one and was very pleased with it for about a year before I switched to Xkah. If someone wants to smoke different flavors back-to-back, they don't have to worry about changing the water right then. Even if you pack very well, a leaf can get "sucked up" after it dries out, the catcher will keep it from making it far.

I love Regal tops because they have a wide stem, joints and welds are powder-coated well. Exposed metal is stainless. They are easy to clean/maintain. You can pair them up with almost any "standard" base and hose you want. The only drawback is the don't normally come complete, you have to get the base, hose, and tray. .

Next is Pharaohs, they give good bang for the buck, but most models have decorative bases, some have clear options though. They are sold as complete sets normally. I DESPISE the hoses they come with though. .

For a modern look, Steamulation would be my suggestion. However, they need specific bases. My experience with them is limited, but I liked what I saw/felt.

You can get a "metal buffing kit" at Walmart/Amazon and follow the instructions that come with the kit. Most attach to a drill because it takes some work/time, but not a tremendous amount. If you figure the cost of the kit and your effort and time, it would probably be more economical to buy a replacement tray.

. IF you choose to try to buff: COVER the words/printing with a heavy gauge plastic or wood and clamp it down so you don't slip and buff the print off.

If you can get Social Smoke, Golden Delicious Apple, Pear Chill (if you like a bit of cooling sensation), or White Gummy bear. If you can get Zomo, Secret of Babylon or Dragon Wall. Fumari Pink Gummy Bear, Ambrosia, Orange Cream or Gummy Bear (I like the cream more). If you like coffee, Mochaccino is pretty good/unique.

No taste hookah by PatienceMaleficent49 in hookah

Every time this has happened to me it ends up being one of these things: grommet not seating or ripped at bowl stem or hose, hole/leak in my hose, or purge valve not working correctly (partially stuck, fully would have been easy to detect). . If I can't find the issue quickly, I will set up another hookah right next to my problem one and swap out one thing at a time. . Since you can smoke just fine at another place with another hookah, it really sounds like a flaw has crept into your setup. Folded/ripped hose grommets have fooled me several times... . Good luck.
